My Hive Goals for 5 January 2026
Hello all! Another week and it’s time again to do another #myhivegoals post, a series idea started by started by @jongolson.
It’s a new year! That makes this the first Hive Goals post of the year! I haven’t had time to think about what my goals will be this year yet. Hmm.. But let’s jump in and think as we go.
If you are here for the comment SBI giveaway, well, we’ll get to that too.
Let’s start with my Hive goals.
Hive & HBD
So last year my main goal was 60k HIVE. I blew past that but didn’t quite make it to my stretch goal of 70k. So what will be my goal this year…
I’ve been thinking about that. I’m tempted to say 80k will be my goal and 90k my stretch goal. With HIVE at only a dime, both of those numbers seem within reach.
So… at least for the moment, we’ll go with that. I might run some numbers here and figure out some some better goals, but at least for this post, 80k!
That in mind…
Last week I made 628.08, bringing me to 63813.834 total Hive Power. That’s 79.8% of my goal!
Oh yeah — I forgot I did that power up a few days ago. Guess part of that 628.08 gained last week was from trading in some HBD. Anyway…
Math time. 80k - 63813.834 gives us 16186.17. Divided out by the days till the first of next year, we get 44.8 HIVE needed per day to reach 80k by that point. That is a surprisingly realistic number, especially if the price of HIVE stays so low. Hmm.. again, I might have to raise it. We’ll see!
Second Layer Tokens
Hmm… nothing? I don’t know. I like PIMP, AEGIS, DUO, BBHO and a few others, but I don’t know if I’m going to actively be buying anything. I may just focus on my Hive Power this year.
Silver
The silver chart for last week:
Rough week. Down from the $80 high and bouncing around sideways. What will hapen this week, the first full week of the year? $100? Let’s see!
Here is a good looking coin that I came across today:
A “The Phantom” silver round! Actually I know almost nothing of The Phantom. He was one of the pulp novel heroes around the time of The Shadow, wasn’t he? I vaguly remember the Hollywood movie that came out in the 90s. I seem to recall that it wasn’t well received, but I remember enjoying it (though I remember nothing about the story).

You are doing fantastic with your hive goals. I often think about setting goals on Hive, but afraid it would stop being enjoyable if I was shooting for goals and setting milestones using it. I would get to obsessed basically.

I am a believer in setting goals but not so much on setting targets. Does that make sense? What's the difference anyway. !LOLZ
I suppose it depends if your nature is process centric as opposed to result oriented.
Believe it or not, I am process centric. My better half is more result oriented. This creates some enjoyable and challenging conversations.
I know a few more layer 2 tokens that can help you along your Hive journey. Just know that I am positively biased.

Yeah, that Billy Zane movie was a huge stinker I think. I'm not really sure why they cast Zane as the lead. It's not like he had done anything big except maybe Titanic. Wasn't he in that? I think he was mostly known for late night B grade movies.
Was it that bad? Hmm...maybe it's better if I don't go back and revisit it. I never watched Titanic, but yeah I think he was in it.
I remember parts of it, but not all of it. I think the lore behind all of it was interesting, but the plot was lacking. I don't think they built up to it well either. I think most people around that time had never heard of The Phantom.

I remember enjoying the Phantom movie and cartoons as a kid. I don't really remember much about it though! 🤣 Probably means it was just another generic superhero show .

The Phantom is cool, nice silver! Some awesome goals and I think you'll make 80K this year easy. I'm still working on my goals and debating, we'll see where they end up! Yours are very doable, it would be great to see you hit 80K!
70k sounds very do-able considering Hive is floating around $0.10, 90k would be more of a challenge.
I could top up my 30k it to 70k HP if I swap some $4,000 in BTC into Hive. 🤔
But I think I'll save it for a special occasion.
