My journey to knowing web 3 and hive blockchain

Greetings!

The web 3 is one thing I'm not actually familiar with. Though, I used to see it while trying to cash out or change my hive to dollar on the binance or bybit app, but I have not heard about it before.

So, it's when I saw this prompt that I went online to surf the internet to know more about it. Though, it's not so clear to me what was said about it, but even at that, there's a take home point that I got from all the things being said about it.

My take home point after reading about the web 3 online is that it's a decentralized platform where data is being run and stored. Also, it's after reading it that I got to know that it's something to do with blockchain technology, etc.

So, immediately I saw web3 and its connection with blockchain technology, something struck my mind that directly or indirectly, I'm a bonafide user of web3. Though, I might not be aware of its uses or essence before. But now I have realized that I'm a user of the 3rd generation of the internet which is all about decentralized blockchain technology and token based economy.

Thank God for the sciFi weekly prompt of the week that has helped me to explore the internet and have more understanding about what the web 3 is all about and I believe this would help to save my illiteracy about it and further boost my understanding and knowledge.

Having said that, I would like to delve into the topic with the little understanding and knowledge I have so far gathered about the web 3.

As for me, my web 3 journey started last year via the Hive blockchain where I will write to make money. Though a friend @kingsleyy had been introducing it to me long ago, it's last year that I joined the decentralized blockchain technology platform and since then, I have been contributing to the blockchain by writing and posting in different communities.

My posting in these different communities has really helped me to meet a lot of people who engage my work and in return reply to them of their engagements and this is where my web 3 journey got started.

After this, I proceeded with my web 3 journey when I was to convert my hbd to hive, it's not so easy but with the help of a friend, I was able to do the conversion. Thanks to @kingsleyy.

So, since he had put me through back then, I have been doing the conversion myself up to the point of withdrawal. Now I can now convert my coins from hbd to hive, hive to usdt etc. Though, I made a gruesome mistake recently, but even at that, I have done more transactions without making further mistakes.

So, my web 3 journey has been characterized with ups and downs, but it's been interesting. Though, I didn't know about it before, but thanks to the internet that has helped me shed more light at it and I'm really happy to have known more about what it's all about.
