My power supply option
Ever since I was little, I have known how important having light in the house is. And despite not being rich in our family, my mother made me and my siblings understand the importance of power supply and how bad it is to stay in darkness.
Like I said, we were not rich in my family, or let me just say we are poor, so automatically there is no way we could afford a generator, not to talk of solar, and all we are left with is the normal power supply, which everyone uses.
Even though the power supply then wasn’t stable and there is nothing anyone can do about it, we still depend on it since there is no other option for me and my family.
Some years passed, and my mother was asked to leave where we were staying, so she got angry and moved to the uncompleted building that my father left before he died. Moving to the unfinished house rewrites our story from a little bit good to worse because we actually didn’t have money to do anything in the house.

There was no facility in the area as well because it was still a bushy area, and we were left with no light, no water, and no windows or doors for security. Then my mother struggled and ran around to get the smallest generator, which we called “I better pass my neighbor” here in Nigeria.
I was happy that at least we would have light back in the house because ever since we moved to the uncompleted building, I have forgotten what it feels like to have light at home. So we started using the generator, and one day, one of my mom's family came to visit us, and my mom put on the generator only for the generator to spark; smoke was everywhere.
That’s not the funniest part; the funniest part was that all the electronics that we are managing in the house, starting from the black and white television we were using then to the smallest things, got burnt beyond repair.
Ever since then I have disliked generators because I can’t predict when they will give fault or what the repair would cost me. When I got married, my husband bought one generator as well just to make sure there was light in the house, and guess what? This generator burned down our electronics in the house again, including the bulbs in the house, so I don’t like generators for anything.

And as for solar, well, I don’t like it either, even though I haven’t used one before; moreover, it is quite too expensive, so I love the normal power supply, and I will choose it over and over again because it is powerful and it can carry any electronics we have at home.
I have made attempts to buy solar before when our former house's power supply wasn’t stable, but then I realized that it has grades, and the one I can afford can’t do anything other than charge phones, and the one that can do everything is too expensive, and it might take a lifetime before I could raise such an amount of money, so I stopped pursuing solar, and here we are in the new area enjoying a normal power supply regularly. So a normal power supply will always be my choice.

Solar power is expensive but it will definitely give you value for your money.
