How to thrive on the Hive platform.
Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog. Reading this post simply means you are on Hive, and we all know how difficult it can be to thrive on the Hive platform. We all have our different stories after we joined Hive as newbies. Many of us had to give up and made a return later. Some had mentors and their onboarder to see them through. Many had no one, just themselves, because they either found the platform on their own or joined the platform just when their onboarder decided to leave the platform. Having the same story on the Hive platform is just a coincidence, aside from that fact that after joining Hive, our experiences differ from one newbie to another.
There are many newbies that found it easy to blend in on Hive and found their niche in no time. There are also newbies who worked so hard at their early stage but, since things were not going like they imagined, were forced to back off, and there are newbies who could not even navigate the platform perfectly, and once you find the platform strange and are unable to navigate through the platform, you are forced to give up on the platform. I doubt if there is anyone out there that joined the Hive platform and found it very easy to blend in; there must have been some difficulties, some of these difficulties that left you thinking that giving up on the platform was the best option.
If you are still a newbie and you are at that point where you feel giving up on the Hive platform is the best option, I want to tell you that we have all been there but managed to survive and stay, and now we have ourselves to thank for not giving up when we were hearing those voices in our head. The Hive platform is a blessing, but you have to stick with the platform to discover that. If you just breeze in and breeze out, you might never get to be a partaker of that blessing.
Sticking to the Hive platform might be difficult, but if you do, you will definitely see the good sides of Hive, as Hive is one platform that rewards loyalty.
A few strategies you can use to help you thrive on the Hive platform include:
Engagement: Many newbies make the mistake of thinking all they need to do to thrive on the Hive platform is to make a post, but just making a post is not enough. Engage with other users, both old and new users; that is how you get recognized, and from there you get people who will guide you on how to thrive and teach you all you need to know about the platform. You need to know that the Hive platform is a world of its own, and you cannot know it all on your own. There are things here that, if not taught or told, you will never know exist, and you can only get someone to teach you if you engage.
Consistency: Like I said earlier, the Hive platform rewards loyalty. If you stay consistent on the platform both on rainy days and on sunny days, there is nothing stopping you from thriving. There will be good days and there will be bad days; if you leave during the bad days, then you won't be here to witness the good days, which makes staying consistent with the Hive platform very important.
Change your mindset: Many of us rushed to join the Hive platform because we were told it pays, and when we joined and nothing was forthcoming, we had the urge to give up, but that urge died down when we changed our mindset. If you also have that mindset, then it is time to change that. If you change your mindset, you will find it a lot easier to stay and not have to battle with the urge to give up because things are not going the way you expect or how you were told, or the picture in your head about the platform is not being painted perfectly.

Decentralization isn’t just a feature—it’s a fight. Let’s model fairness, rally allies, and pressure Hive to live up to its ideals.

Personally, i agree with Consistency as the most important of all, because sometimes engagement fails and is often scary because you dont know who is who.
Engagement still pays though, it will help you gain recognition as both consistency and engagement work hand in hand.
This is really educational @offia66. Thank you for sharing this
Thanks for stopping by my friend.
You are welcome
You have shared many beautiful tutorials about Hive.We should know these tutorials.
I believe this would help every newbie stay after they encounter difficulties.
In fact, it would be better if we all didn't just stop at one post here but also looked at other people's posts and tried to learn something. It's good to be active with everyone, new and old. Thank you for sharing important information.
Exactly what I am trying to say, we must learn engagement and that can only happen by you g through other people's post.
Thanks for sharing, I just started my journey on hive and so far I have really enjoyed the platform, it's an educative and fun place to be.
Glad you find it fun, that will help you thrive on here as once you see it as hardwork it become ms very difficult to thrive.
