Little Foxes that spoil the vine....
These are like little foxes that spoil the vine, some slide in unnoticed untill they run you dry,
managing finances is something that is very difficult, as a matter of fact it requires a high level of discipline to be able to restrict yourself from unnecessary spending.
things can actually go out of hand if care is not taken, when finances are not planned your money seems to be flying in every direction, that is when one can rarely differentiate between want and need because at that point in time everything looks like a need.
having money in your hand automatically increases your appetite for things, both the ones you need and don't need and funny enough every thing at that appeals to you.
there's something about money that always assumes the character of the owner, so if a person lacks discipline and self control around money that is how it will be go out via daily expenses.
at one time someone secures a huge amount of money with me and at the time tragedy struck and I never realise when I started touching someone's money little by little, from just what seems like nothing i had gone far, at some point it involves touching the small part like recharging airtime, data paying for a drink or just buying little things, honestly speaking I never reaslise that I had run down this huge sum till I had nothing left, meanwhile I did not buy any big thing or something tangible with the money and so I was asking my self how have I spent the money that much.
money requires discipline to maintain it flows, if you're a prudent spender then money can be spent wisely if not spending waywardly becomes the norm, at somepoint financial intelligence is needed so you only go for what is necessary at a time.
something happened to me last year when I started working towards my savings, it was a difficult phase for me because at somepoint it was hard for me, I was tempted on several occasions to withdraw my savings but because I had a good reasons why I had initiated it and that was what kept me going even when I had good reasons to do other wise....
it's really important we checkmate our daily spending habit as it relate with our level of income and outflows so we don't run out of money, because the only way to avoid poverty is to be financially literate.

This is why I travelled without the ATM card to my savings account that way the money there stays there.

You're right about that sir.... having money actually brings about some unnecessary appetites and such.

I know it requires discipline to manage money but each time we keep telling ourselves "it demands high level of discipline," it makes it look like it's something beyond our power. We can control our resources if we want, we just have to be intentional about it and begin to see it as a necessity and not punishment.
You see, separating wants from needs is the best thing ever that can save one from unnecessary spending
