A day i can't forget

It all started one quiet Sunday morning. The sun was warm, the birds were singing, and I was simply doing some laundry in my backyard, planning on planting a few seeds. Nothing special, just another peaceful day. After I was done doing my laundry, I decided to start planting. As I dug my shovel into the soil, humming a sweet melody to myself, suddenly my shovel hit something hard. At first I thought it was a stone, but when I bent down and brushed the dirt away, what I saw made me pause.

It wasn't a stone at all; it was metal, just cold, smooth, and oddly shiny even though it was buried deep in the ground. Curious, I started digging fast, thinking I'd find gold , an old pipe, or even a car part that was left behind by whoever occupied the house before me. But as it appeared, I realized it was something huge and nothing like anything I had seen before. The surface curved gently, almost like the size of an egg, and there was a strange symbol etched across it. Those symbols look ancient and out of this world. I pause to stare at it while my heart starts beating fast.

I stood there covered in dirt, wondering what this is, at the same time half expecting someone to jump out and yell at me. But nothing, it was just me standing. I ran to call my parents inside the living room. When my dad touched it, he said, This isn't man-made, at least not from our time. That sent chills down my spine. Before I know it, my mom has raised alarm , people have gathered, and cameras are flashing. Before I can process what's happening. It's already on every social media platform. Different opinions as to what it might be. I was too stunned to even say anything.

By evening, everything has been uncovered, and it was not just a chunk of metal; it was an entire spaceship, smooth and gold, about thirty feet long. Nowhere to open it and see what is inside, just the symbols glowing. Suddenly, while everybody was figuring it out, it started vibrating, and everybody ran, but it was later taken away by the government for analysis.
