Hello all! Another week and it’s time again to do another #myhivegoals post, a series idea started by started by @jongolson. This also doubles as my weekly progress report for #saturdaysavers, which is a fun little group that tries to motivate everyone to save and reach their goals. I’m going to look at the progress I’ve made on my Hive goals, as well as give a few tokens I’m looking at right now. If you are here for the comment SBI giveaway, well, we’ll get to that too.

Let’s start with my Hive goals.

Hive & HBD

My current goal is 60k Hive.

Last week I made 471.197, bringing me to 60,009.277 total Hive Power. That’s… past my goal! Woohoo!

Actually, this week was not nearly as good as last and I only made slightly over 100 from posts and curation. But I just couldn’t resist using some that I had been saving to push myself over the edge.

Now, I’m not an orca yet. This is only 99,233,556 VESTS. I guess that shows us how much even HIVE has inflated. 50,000 HIVE used to be 100,000,000 VESTS, right? Am I misremembering that? Now it’s slightly north of 60k. Oh well, guess I won’t be an orca for a while yet. But at least I passed my goal!

Now onwards to 70k! Too bad unlike last year, I can’t really invest much from outside. This is really the perfect time to do so, with HIVE so long. But oh well.

Math time. 70k - 60009.28 gives us 9990.72. Divided out by the days till the first of next year, we get 124.9 Hive needed per day to reach 70k by that point. Yeah… not going to happen organically. But we’ll see if I can’t find some extra money somewhere to help get close.

Second Layer Tokens

Nothing to see here. H-E was dead for a few days anyway last week.

Silver

The silver chart for last week:

All eyes were on gold last week as it marched past $4000, but silver also had a great week, passing $50! Wow!

Not just one coin on sale this week, but many. Apmex is having their fall sale.

Of course with silver and gold so high, even this sale is looking kind of expensive. But — hey — it still might be a sale if you expect prices to go even higher. $60 for silver next!
