Hi everyone!
I'm so honoured to be a part of the Hive family. I have this one person to thank,my boss, as I call him,and @nsigo1 as most people call him, for pointing me toward Hive, a platform where I truly believe incredible people belong.

My name is Rita, but my friends often call me “Prof” because of how often they find me with books. I’m the third child and first daughter in a family of four.
I’m currently studying English Education--my dream course in the University of Uyo. I couldn’t have picked a better path. I hope to become a professor one day and contribute meaningfully to education and society. Alongside academics, I place strong value on business. I run a small but growing business selling fresh coconuts, plantains, and fruits. It’s my way of combining enterprise with passion for healthy living. If you're ever in need of fresh, natural produce. I'm your sure plug!

My hobbies include music and sewing. I’m especially drawn to gospel music, though I welcome decent circular music as well. I also love the bass guitar,though I don’t know how to play yet, I’m hopeful that one day I will. Sewing gives me so much peace, and here’s a fun fact: I can sew a full outfit while singing along to my favourite gospel playlist. it gives me joy.

While I love writing, I don’t write as often as I’d like. I read, though not constantly, mostly when the mood or a great book strikes me. I’m an excellent cook, something my loved ones always appreciate. However, I lack good leadership skills but I hope to be better.

I believe in honesty and in the superiority of God. One of my favourite quotes is:
“Having God in your boat doesn’t mean you won’t face storms but it means no storm can sink your boat.”
My life philosophy is simple: Respect is a reciprocal. I believe everyone deserves dignity, and the way we treat others often reflects the way we’ll be treated. It costs nothing to be kind and respectful, but it earns everything meaningful in return.
