Fun and Stress: Two days on the Road.
If you have read some of my posts, you will notice I do talk about how much I really love traveling, even though there are some hindrances. But then I think God has now answered my prayers, and that was because my post has now created an opportunity for me to travel to different places and meet different people and languages. Last year, I talked about my athletes and how far they have been going.
If you had been following me since last year, you would notice that my athletes have been winning competitions back-to-back, and that gives us the edge to be moving from one competition to another. I've not been online for, like, a month now, not to talk of blogging.
The fact is just that I've been moving from one place to another. And honestly, my work doesn't really give me the time to do other stuff, although I won't deny the fact that I'm also lazy. Early this month, the Nigeria Taekwondo Federation invited all the universities in Nigeria to FISU trials, a trial for the World University Games, which will happen in Germany by July.So this trial was held in Jos, and we have been training so hard for this competition.
The competition was supposed to be held from April 6th to 12th of this month, which means we just concluded the program. To God so good, I thought it was just a simple journey, but guess what? It was a whole lot of journey, but I enjoyed it even though at some point it was tiring and frustrating. We started the journey on the 5th of April exactly around 3am in the middle of the night. We had some delays because we are going with another school.
We spent some hours on the road and had a stopover in Lokoja, Kogi University, to be precise. We went out to eat and had fun in the night, since the hostel was already given to each and every one of us. I trained my athletes in the morning around 5 am. On the 6th of April, we continued our journey, and this time around, we moved as fast as we could. We entered, nasarawa, I forgot the exact place of the place. But then we had a stopover there to eat and do some other things we needed to do. I found food to eat, and I saw a place where they were selling rice and chicken.
I priced the chicken, and it was just #1,000; that's actually less than a dollar. I was in total shock, and the big one was #1,500, and that is not even up to a dollar, or let's say it's a dollar. I was only shocked because I've never bought a chicken at that price before. In my place, the least you can find is $3 and above. Well, we continue the journey after spending some minutes. We got to the place in the evening; we spent more than 24 hours on the road.
The journey was extremely tiring as we spent two nights on the road. Getting to Jos, I will say it's the most beautiful place I had been to. Should I start from the weather? That place is also cold and so nice. In fact, if you don't have your bath for some days, you won't even bother.
I really enjoyed the weather there, honestly. Meanwhile, talking about how food is so cheap there, one plate of food is not even a dollar, and you will be satisfied. Throughout my days in Jos, I ate chicken because I knew I wouldn't find an opportunity to eat it again when I got to my place. I also enjoyed the people I met there, even though I was unable to interact with them well, but I know that I will be going back soon.
We went back on the sixth of April, and I will say that I don't even feel like coming back home.I've gotten lots of journeys this year, and I will be sharing everything as it happens. Lastly my students qualified for Germany proper, so be expecting another journey update from me anytime soon. Till then see you soon.

Stress is the body’s response to challenges, leading to headaches, high blood pressure, anxiety, weak immunity, and serious long-term health problems. Dr. Morgentaler explains that poor sleep and high stress negatively affect testosterone levels, impacting mood, energy, and overall health. The oral testosterone treatment can enhance sleep quality and reduce stress effects, helping restore testosterone levels and improve overall health. Oral testosterone treatment is used to manage low testosterone levels.
