Rising Star is easy to play... But, not that easy.
Greetings friends of the community, Greetings buskerians!
In advance, i want to give a huge thanks to the Hive Naija community for welcoming Rising Star to their community, it's a great detail. Thank you very much @hive-naija.

I hope all is well. I'm quite lost, but another call from the Rising Star game has awakened me from my slumber. I think in these rather strange times for the RS community and for Hive in general, I think it's worth showing the support that this extraordinary game has. And, without a doubt that it is an extraordinary game. Just to think that it is one of the longest running NFT's in the entire crypto landscape is commendable, I think Axie Infinity is a year or two older. But, RS, it hasn't had immense popularity, nor has it managed millions of dollars, nor has it lifted anyone out of poverty and with what little it has had it has kept constantly growing and evolving.

“My first withdrawals, all to buy cards”
I started playing Rising Star back in 2021. That's right, at a time when we were opening the door of our homes again and we were beginning to feel a little safer after a pandemic that left many of us very bad financially. The needs were overflowing and the promise of making money online, came in the form of a game, several games, some that disappeared years ago, others that tried and failed, others that only took advantage of the need of people to enrich their creators and so on. And, among so much, but so much chaff was found the pin of Rising Star a game that did not promise what many others, but it had its own hook, the music.
And, who doesn't love music. This was what I fell in love with, the fact that I could make my band with the NFTs characters and with the music instruments that are also NFTs of the game and make the music I wanted, be a DJ, a rapper, create classical music or even an amazing rock band.

I am level 232 and the goal is to reach 250 to open another mission of the last map of the game. I have only 6485 cards of which 1713 are unique cards. For newbies, it seems like a lot, but it's not haha especially for the time I've been playing. For the old timers it's a small count though, as it is, I'm 49th in the rankings thanks to the change they made to the rankings to give priority to unique cards, 89% weight compared to playing more or having a lot of cards. I guess being dedicated from the start to getting unique cards has served me well.

Currently the game has almost 3000 different NFTs of which most of them are instruments and characters, so you can imagine the possibilities of making music, just with a little patience and connecting the right instruments, you will certainly be able to make a wonderful band.
These are a couple of compositions that I could make with my cards. Just hit the Play button and that's it.
Other NFTs available in the game are vehicles, Boosters, crafted cards, PRO cards, Fan Club cards, Warehouse cards, festival cards, record cards of artists in the game.
With the packs that currently cost 20000 Starbits you can get cards of the common, rare, epic, legendary and on special occasions for some seasonal event. There are also other seasonal cards that one can get with special missions, there are special cards that came out and can only be obtained under some special condition or on the market. There are also the new Shiny cards, which are new versions of some cards that you can get by burning NFTs, fans or luck.
Then, there are NFTs that are older, others that have very low issuance, or that created in honor of some very important community user (most of the time an artist) and these cards are usually the most valuable in-game cards. So, although it is easy to have NFT's in the game, it is very difficult to complete the whole collection, I risk to say that nobody has the whole collection of cards complete.

"A view of my garage. Cards of common, rare, epic, legendary and one special vehicle"
This is another nice part of the game. At first, when you are entering the game and you see the collection, you see all those gray and lifeless cards. But, as you add color to your collection with new cards, it becomes very nice and you feel proud of what you are achieving. Remember, I have been playing since about 2021 and I still have a long way to go to have the whole collection, although of course my playing style is quite conservative.
And, speaking of pride I want to say that I recently got some of my favorite cards, especially the beautiful Grace card. The first time I saw it, I wanted it, and I knew it when it was in the card packs, but I was a newbie who didn't produce many Starbits and I didn't know that my desire would grow so much with time... hahahah I feel like a pervert saying this hahaha But, almost every time I went to see my card collection, I saw that gray space it gave me some regret and I saw the prices how they were going up and I with my conservative way of playing it wasn't getting it easy to get it at all. Now that I had it in my collection, I felt I could breathe again. I felt very good and calm, I only have one more obsession left in the game, to get the Buskerminator, for me the best vehicle of all. I hope to have some chance in the future to get it, but for now I feel quite calm.

I already told you that the game keeps evolving right? In the past the game was very easy to earn Starbits from missions and do with it whatever the user wanted like buying Hive to make Power UP here on the platform and grow the Hive account or just take it out of the ecosystem for other needs. Now, it is quite difficult to do so especially with the new rule of paying for music lessons, much of the Starbits obtained have to be destined to fight Ego (if Ego increases a lot less Starbits can be produced) although you can buy cards with Ability for the same purpose, it is much more expensive than paying for music lessons. This difficulty means that the game can't be bled so easily, so even if little is kept in the game, it generates a little more stability than before. Of course, this difficulty has alienated several users who no longer see it as “profitable” but I think that those of us who are staying, know that it is a good thing for the future.
And, if you start putting the loose ends together, you can see that everything becomes a challenge within the game. Music lessons now cost Starbits, you have to allocate part of what you generate to these lessons by buying Starpro, what you have left over you can use to buy cards to improve your collection, to invest in PRO cards, in FC, in crafting missions, or simply save/withdraw (but this is much less than before).

“Starbits and Ego gained from the day, the amount of Starbits I need to combat that ego gained and the amount of skill I did today”
That's why many will see so many buttons, so many ways to play within the game and won't know which is the right one or where to start and we understand them. You can play with the PRO cards, to make your own records and receive royalties for them, you can play with the Fan Club (FC) cards to get Fanes FA cards and participate in raves, you can keep buying fans and luck and keep increasing your Starbits production, you can buy and sell cards from the market, you can dedicate yourself to get unique cards and climb the player ranking, you can buy artist records and make stake and if you get creative you will surely get other ways to play and earn in the process. In my case, I am trying to play almost everything the game has to offer, I have some PRO cards, I just need to make records, I climb in the ranking, I participate in raves, I buy and sell in the market and I keep improving my collection when I see good deals. But, I still keep thinking I could do better and could achieve my goals faster.
To keep it simple, for someone seeing the game for the first time, just focus on the Missions buttons and play with the ones that are broken down from the game map, it will show the requirements of the missions and what you earn from them and the other button the Cards button, in your collection there you can see the cards you have and better yet you can buy new Cards to fulfill the requirements of the missions (buy cards with the fans).

Already after this it is little by little to go venturing into new buttons, for example, the FAQ (?) Which appears in the horizontal bar above, there you will find questions and answers and very useful tutorials.
The evolution of the game has not only been noticed in a difficulty to remove or get things within the game, but in something similar to what Hive is, a small ecosystem with many things that can be addressed and that are not necessarily a bad option, maybe it is a somewhat slow option for a certain goal, but with it you can get other things that not all players will be able to get, for example, FC cards.
As you may have noticed, I have talked in a very general way about many aspects of the game, but I have left links for you to learn more about these game dynamics. Instead, I have focused on talking a bit about my experience and that the game is active, that as long as it has users who play it, it will continue online, that you have to support it and be part of Hive, I mean Risingstar, is that, believe it or not, supporting Risingstar is the same as supporting Hive, because a game attracts a certain type of audience and Hive attracts another type of audience and if the two come together, you get many people writing about Rising Star in Hive and promoting it to the network. For example, my case, I started using Hive after I was playing Rising Star.

Finally, are there any recommendations for new users?
It depends on your playing style.
If you want to start without investment:
🍕 Get Fans and Luck from only one type of instrument (orchestra, piano, production, drums, microphone or guitar)
🍕 For someone who has an ego at 28%. It will sound illogical, but, keep your Ego at bay.
🍕 Buy pizzas or pizza boxes, with them you will be able to do more missions.

🍕 Take advantage of the giveaways offered by some users. You can win some Starbits or cards that will help you a lot.
🍕 The road will be slow to go, but as you grow your account, you can get more cards and little by little you can try to access other features of the game, for example, if you can buy some FA cards, you can enter the Raves and get Starbits with the drops made by other players and the Swap.Hive at the end of each rave.
🍕 And, the best advice I can offer is to take advantage of the seasonal events. Get some of the cards that come out of the booster packs and do the special mission to get special cards, you decide what to do; you can have them for the Luck you get for the music lessons, collect them or you can sell them to other players who don't want to do the mission. These sales can help you a lot when you are starting out.
If you want to start with investment there are many things you can do.
🍕 I recommend you to read very well each facet of the game so you know what you want to do.
🍕 You will always need energy boost to do missions, so buy some boost.

🍕 Buying a lot of fans as I told you above, requires having a fairly balanced account, with the skill on par with your fans, with luck to fight the ego through music lessons, plus to this strategy you can add the idea of buying and selling cards from the market. You need to buy fans and music instruments.
🍕 If you want to go for the raves, you can buy the cards through the market (the FA) that can help you, but if you want to keep growing around here, it is also good to do the Fan Club missions, the more the better (about 4850 are all up to date which equals about 6900 Swap.Hive) this will also give you fans and skill, so you can also cover the above strategy (although at a lower level) so the reward may be greater than just buying fans, luck and skill, since it covers many facets of the game. But, it is very important to have many FC missions done because of the probabilities of being asked to do the fan mission. Let me explain, there are two missions, one for FC cards (Promote Fan Club) and another mission for the FA (Record Signing) the FC ones cost 0.024 Starpro, requires level 20, 80% energy and 300 fans (the reward depends on the amount of times you have done the mission, but it is a FC card) the FA one requires level 20, 300 fans 65% energy, plus you must have the FC card that asks you 1 among 196 cards (by the way, having the card is not enough, you have to do the missions too)
🍕 There are other options, but as an investor, you have to do the math, ask more questions and analyze what you want from the game, if you are looking for return I tell you that it is very long that ROI and is subject to change, it can improve depending on the market or may lengthen for the same reason. So, before making any investment I recommend you to do your own research.

There is still a lot to say and I am sure you will have many doubts, so you have the comments box to ask or clarify what you need. You also have many tutorials that I shared in some keywords of the post, if there is one that does not work correctly, you can let me know.
Finally, in a few hours the new cards of the month will be released, so new NFTs will be coming, in other words, more cards to collect $_$. If you get any good ones, you can also share them here in the post.
Thanks so much for stopping by and best of luck with your booster openings!
I want to extend a thank you to @nupulse who has created the tutorials I've shared here.

I guess I haven’t really played Rising Star myself 😅, but from what I’ve seen the ROI here isn’t about quick returns anymore. It’s more like a hobby and community investment 🎶🤝. The real fun seems to be in the strategy and the special events 🎯✨
You got it completely right!
There are many people who, as with Hive, are waiting for a more optimistic market (the bull market) and as soon as that comes, many will become active. Surely I will return to the top 200 jaja
But, as you say, the game will remain active with or without that market, thanks to the love we have for it.
Congratulations @flquin! You have completed the following achievement on the Hive blockchain And have been rewarded with New badge(s)
Your next target is to reach 40000 upvotes.
