An Attempt That Won't Fail: The world should buy this idea.

The human mind is a fascinating paradox — capable of deep reasoning, yet often swayed by fleeting desires. We see problems clearly, recognize the consequences, even map out solutions — and still, we choose our own pleasures over lasting progress. It's not ignorance, but a complex dance between logic and longing, responsibility and escape. In this blog, I will open your mind to a new world of possibilities.

Hello everyone, my name is Fashtioluwa, and for this amazing new week, the Hivenaija community has brought a very interesting prompt topic that tests the mind and makes people ask about their own ideas and philosophy.

Share your view on this mind-puzzling question... What would you attempt if you knew you couldn't fail? Meaning, if failure does not exist, what would you want to try and succeed in?

Do you know it only takes a man to start a movement or a change, and when people see how great that man has become, they follow in that direction? I was asked what I would attempt if I knew I could not fail. The first thing I did when I saw the prompt topic was to go on the internet and search for African countries that are suffering from drought and famine.

I am a documentary watcher; I love to watch news too, and I see a lot of people suffer so much in the world, and there are just a few people doing something about it. Some people don't even have the funds to continue helping, so they have to stop.

If I can attempt something that I know I won't fail at, it is to help countries suffering from things like this. Sending aid, like food, medicine, and water. I would like to attempt being a philanthropist.

In many parts of the world today, the sun doesn’t just rise; it scorches, it burns. Countries across East Africa, parts of the Middle East, and the Horn of Africa are battling intense droughts that have stripped the land of crops, dried up water sources, and left millions on the brink of famine. If you watch news channels like Al Jazeera, CNN, BBC, and the like, you would see how badly humans are suffering in that part of the world, and it breaks my heart always.

For the average citizen in these regions, life has become a constant fight for survival. Food is so scarce that people don't even worry about the money they would use to buy this food, because they can only buy or get it for free when there is actual food. Clean water is scarce, and families are forced to walk for miles in search of relief. I saw a picture of a little girl trying to give her little brother water from a leaking bottle. This is the place our money should go to, not exploring space.

What’s worse, the weakened immune systems caused by hunger have opened the doors to deadly diseases. Outbreaks of cholera, malaria, and measles are spreading like wildfire, and children, with their fragile frames, are the first to fall.

You see so many skinny children; many of them didn't even survive their first 5 years because of the harsh conditions they are living in.

Since I know I can't fail and I would continue to do what I want, I would try to help these countries get rid of the harsh conditions they are bound to live in and have some scientists see if there is a way they can help their land produce more food so they can become fruitful.

It's not going to be an easy task, but trust me. Since I won't fail, from Africa to other parts of the world, we are going to make it a better place.

Thanks for reading. My name is Fashtioluwa.

I agree that the world should buy into this idea. It would go a long way to relieving many lives and families.

I stopped watching those news channels you listed because I couldn't stand seeing those hungry children anymore. There was one that I watched and it was reported that they had no drinking water and mothers waited to drink their children's urine....chai that one pain me enter bone.

The world is just something else
We can make it better but people aren’t ready to do that
Everyone is just worried about their pocket

This is the place our money should go to, not exploring space.

A big topic on it own. Exploring the space is good, to know about outside our world and see if human could have a better life there. The fact is only the rich will be able to go there. One hasn't been able to afford a plane ticket not to talk of a rocket to launch you into another planet.

Some parts of the world aren't even worried about bad governance, they are battling with harsh Natura conditions. If everyone in the world or seemingly better doing countries in Africa donate $2 to these countries , I can only imagine the impact it would have on such countries.

Very true
I don’t know why we haven’t solved the earth problem
Yet we are going out of it.
If we come together to solve this problem, I’m sure there are so many things we can discover as human that can help us make this planet a better place to stay

Your idea is good and well commendable plus this is a well-written piece I almost thought it was inkwell lol. While your idea is achievable from experience, the government of these places do not want it to get better as the more impoverished the people become, the fatter their pockets.

hehehe, Thanks for the nice compliment.
I believe so, but isn't that wickedness? How will you subject people to suffering just to fatten your pocket? Also, I don't think all the governments are like that; some of them want their lands to be better for more funds, but if the world can come together and make this happen, I am sure we would have advanced more than this.

Basically every economy if properly harnessed has potentials of wealth. If you check out these countries that you speak of, as impoverished as they might be you'll still find their leaders living large. That's to show you that they do not wish the people well. Basically if you will be living at the expense of your people what other good do you wish them? Poverty is basically as a result unequal distribution of wealth. Now if wealth is adequately distributed, poverty will become nonexistent.

And you are welcome 🤗
