A sustainable investment

The equivalent of $19k is N29,370,010. Yeah I converted online via google so I can be more realistic in my analysis. You know there was a time I had lunch with a friend and we got talking about this popular migration thing that was going on in Nigeria. We call it JAPA, a process whereby Nigerians use the student route to exit the country for any affordable country abroad. My friend was concerned why I haven't shown interest in migrating abroad via the student route. Well, I cited money as a challenge but he looked me dead in the eye and said, "Ese, we both know that if you really want to go abroad, money will not be an issue for you so cut the crap."
At that point, it hit me because often when I converse with my friends who have JAPAed, they would always urge me to come join them abroad. According to them, nothing good can come out of Nigeria and I'm better off in a society where they could at least boast of a functional system of basic amenities. I would often use the money excuse as the reason why I'm still in Nigeria and not making a move on joining them abroad.
And every time that I use the money excuse, they will say to me almost the same thing that my friend said, “we both know that if you really want to travel, you will travel.” And it's true because at that point when they say those words to me, I reflect on my life's choices plus futuristic plans and trust me, relocating abroad is never an option. Even if I have the money and means to, I'm not relocating.
Again, thanks to the exchange rate between the Naira and the dollar, I am standing firm on my mandate of not using tens of millions to travel abroad and this was exactly what I told my friend during our lunch date.
Hypothetically speaking, in response to the hive Naija, January inleo prompt, if I have $19k, relocating abroad is not a priority for the utilisation of such funds. Rather, the money will be invested into Agriculture as well as the purchasing of a sound Hilux for easy mobilization of farm produce.
Basically yeah, it's two things with my Agricultural ambition but one thing is certain for a start; It's either I purchase an acre of cassava farm land and employ local experts to harvest and process it into bags of Garri for sale or, I just get already harvested cassava in tons from the local markets and employ people who will process and package it into sacks of garri for commercial purposes and use.
My friend and I once did the cost analysis and profit realization of processing garri from scratch and also selling it too. Again, garri is a staple for majority of the masses. It basically creates it's own market so trust me when I say this guys, the profit is in millions of Naira.
Not just that but it’s about 100% ROI because when we calculated all the expenses in processing garri from scratch for commercial purposes, it amounted to five million Naira but accumulated profit after sales of each bag of garri, was ranging in tens of millions. So with five million Naira invested in garri processing, a process in which all costs will be covered within days and output is sure within a week for sale, I'm getting almost half of the $19k equivalent in Naira as profit.
Basically, venturing into Agriculture from there, will just give me the required funding to shuttle the globe without even breaking a sweat or having to work so hard.

Excellent investment plan. You have it clear and the best thing is that you have already studied your investment, you would even double those 19,000, so it would not be nothing more to spend but you think of investing to continue sustaining yourself economically, well done girl, greetings!
