Maybe A Nerd
Whenever I remember my school days I sometimes regret the kind of student I was while other times I am proud of the kind of student I was back then.
There is a statement people always make when you gain admission into the tertiary institution they would tell you “Allow the school to pass through you even as you pass through the school” I found it difficult to understand this statement but I think later I understood what they meant by that.
“Allowing the school to pass through you even as you pass through the school” simply means that even if you are trying to come out with good grades, try to explore the school. Participate in school activities and try to build connections as well. That way you will feel accomplished. More like you not only make good grades but also enjoy your school days.
Well, I wasn’t able to allow the school to pass through me. I only passed through the school. There are different types of students in school especially in tertiary institutions where we get to be whatever we want. I was a Nerdy type of student. I always get angry when people call me a Nerd. At a point, I felt maybe it was because I wear medicated glasses to read, so I stopped or when I needed my glasses to read, I just read at home.
But I later realized that with or without the glasses, I was a Nerdy student. I will return from my classes which are usually held from 8 am to 4 pm with breaks in between. Then I will take a nap and head back to school for my night reading by 9 pm and then return to my lodge by 6 am. This was my daily routine and my body system even had to adapt to that kind of lifestyle.
In the early stage when I started I would break down at one point but I later became so used to it that whenever I had a shift in my daily activities I found myself feeling uneasy.
There were lots of school activities then in school, dance competitions, student elections, and Student Union Day where we had celebrities come around, several activities usually happened in the school during this period and I didn’t even participate in any as I was extremely glued to my book. I saw everything fun as a big distraction which was a wrong perspective. I had a small circle of friends. At least I was able to build connections and establish certain relationships with most people.
Whenever I look back, I regret not engaging in most extracurricular activities. I felt like in school then, I wasn’t interested in exploring life and that is one thing I regret. I honestly wish I wasn’t so nerdy and maybe more engaging. Right now I am trying my best to explore more and I think my National Youth Service has helped a lot with this even if most times my nerdy/introverted nature tends to kick in.
So, I was able to go through school and come out with good grades but I wasn’t able to allow the school to go through me because I was a complete Nerdy student.

Cheers 🥂
But your appearance doesn't look like a nerdy tho🙃
😂😂😂😂 this appearance is my recent appearance.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 really
Yes😂😂😂
You still had quite the experience which is a very good thing. I like nerds 🤓
So you like me☺️☺️ Thank you so much for your nice comment☺️☺️
Oh, I totally understand. I don't think of myself a nerd though. I'm studious and engage in some activities, but I'm also introverted and prefer my own company.
I think that getting good grades is a priority. You got that and that's what matters. You'll build other connections. Btw, nerds are usually the best anyway.
I didn’t engage in any activity, that’s why I felt I was a total nerd 😂😂
Well you are right, nerds are the best☺️

Hello beautiful Dreemer, exploring other activities in school is always fun, I think it makes it memorable even after school life but so long as you get good grades, then you didn't miss out.
I am glad to come across your beautiful write-up via dreemport because I am awesome #dreemerforlife.
I wish you the best today and every other day. ❤️
You sure are a nerd, those glasses call you that. But to me, you are awesome, I love such a lifestyle. Just being simple and minding one's business. I went to get one of my textbooks from my lecturer this semester and the man said to me, you don't attend my classes. I've never seen you. I smiled and told him, I was always in class, and minding my business that's why he didn't know me. I just love the quiet lifestyle.
I prefer when a lecture doesn’t know me so to avoid wahala😂😂😂
Exactly
Being a nerd should be a compliment. And a beautiful nerd, oh myyyyy. Chile, at least you had a good relationship with your books. Some of us don't have neither a social life or an academic life and it sucks downnnn. But anyways, you still made friends...that should count as an added point 🤭
Exactly making connection is everything☺️☺️ Thank you so much for your nice comment☺️
Some people will prefer being a nerdy that has good grades than not passing what actually took you to school while some will strive in both because they can't be studying all the time.
True though, most people strive so well doing both.

Yay! 🤗

It can't be me, I have never visited the school library. I feel your daily life in school would be boring if I try to live like that though I do not attend or participate inany social activities in school.
I wish I was a little bit more free in my 100 to 300 level in school. Now, I am trying my best to connect with right minds.
Well, you've known your mistakes and I am glad you are changing already.
It was actually boring but I became used to it with time.
You don't really look like a nerd 😅 but you look and sound very smart
Thank you😂😂 You also do
Aww thank you😊
