Beautiful views
Hey brother, I'm quite bored, I said.
He replied, "Get dressed; let's go."
"I thought you were still resting; that's why I did not bother you.
I just have a few days here before I go back to Nigeria. I said.
Then I got dressed and we stepped out, and we went to old Beijing.
I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. Then a man walked to us.
He said this city is rich in history and cultural heritage. Whispering tales of emperors and dynasties of tradition and innovation, which I can clearly see with my eyes.
With my phone in my hand, I captured some beautiful views of this enchanting city to unveil its beauty and share them with you, my beautiful hive family.
Old Beijing is a city of contrast where ancient temples and modern skyscrapers stand side by side. There were traditional markets and trendy boutiques, Beckon shoppers. I couldn't take so many pictures because my phone went down at one point.
As I wandered through the narrow street in Beijing, I felt the city's vibrant energy. One of the first places we visited was the Forbidden City, the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties. And it was a beautiful environment.
This city is a living and breathing city. There are thousands of homes and people who live, work, and play in its ancient streets.
Then we went to the Temple of Heaven; this is where locals come to pray, exercise, and socialise. And I also watched a group of elderly women practice a traditional dance. Their movements were beautiful and uniform.
There was also a group of young men playing a lively game, and they said it is called the game of badminton. Their laughter and shouting filledthe air .
I also got to try out their food. As I sat in a small restaurant, watching the chef prepare a dish of stir-fried vegetables, I felt so excited and grateful for the opportunity to experience this.
When I look at these pictures I am reminded of the city's timeless beauty and charm . Old Beijing is a city that has something to offer everyone .
