AUTUMN EVENING IN MY HOMETOWN
The photographs I'm about to show you in this post were all taken a decade ago. In the early autumn of 2013. I went for an evening walk by the sea, here in my hometown, and I took a bunch of photographs along the way. That's it. Just another walk down memory lane. You can follow me if you wish. I used the "night view" option of my small compact camera, an option that produces the greenish tinge seen in this opening picture.
The street lamps looked surprisingly good that evening. I mean, I'm pretty sure that the lamps looked as usual, but on that occasion, I must have noticed their visual appeal. I don't photograph the street lamps very often. In the background, you can see the church tower of Premantura, the village across the bay.

Here you can see the sun going down in Vizula, the part of the bay near the harbor.
At some point, I passed by the public showers on the beach. Their silhouettes looked unexpectedly interesting but I didn't do anything interesting with those shapes in this relatively dull photograph. In the following shot ...
... I created a considerably better composition. A small change of angle can mean a lot. The originals were greenish just like the first photograph of this post. Today, while preparing the post, I decided to present them in black & white which gives a more serious tone to the scene.

These two shots were taken a bit earlier, in the center of the old town -not far from the main square. You can see one of the old houses that give a lot of personality and atmosphere to the place.

While passing by one of the streetlamps in the harbor, I noticed a distant airplane in the dark blue sky, so I stopped to take this photograph in which you can see the greenish lamp and the nice contrail colored a bit like a flame or something similar.
A bit later I was passing by some bungalows near the sea. Reflected in the many windows, the evening looked great.
When I reached the roofed terrace of the last hotel on the outskirts of town, it got really dark. That's why the above photograph is very grainy.
The shot is far from being well-made technically but it's good enough to convey a bit of the crepuscular atmosphere.

Wow! Very nice photos of those lamps. They look like small alien crafts in disguise! That’s how they spy on humans and learn our ways and languages. The mother ship will come soon!
I love the beach and sitting there watching the sunset. You have shared some amazing photography from past albums.
The first picture looks like a start to a story. An eerie story might I add. And that sort of covers all the pictures in my head. It's like a mystery tale, with the showers and the houses and all of that. Truly amazing!

Beautiful as always my friend.the lamp looks like a twin moon. Even if you decided to edit and remove the lamp post it will looks like a real moon.

I think I spotted the church tower of Premantura!.. wohooo. I'm guessing it's little elongated thing in the distance - to the right of your beautiful photo? That's a dope shot of those older looking beach showers.. came out awesome! Thanks for sharing some of your previous travels my friend.

The globe lights on the "top photo" look like the Moon on a pole !LOL and the multiple shower heads reminds of some kind of Alien ship (for some strange reason). Think that I'm just loosing my mind! !VSC
