Early bird routine...hscp #15.
Pleasant greetings everyone. Hope you all had a fantastic day.
Mornings are the most crucial part of every day as they set the tone for how the rest of the day will flow. This is why I personally try to take charge of my mornings as much as I can.

I know that some things can occur which might be beyond my control and for such events, I have no power over but for the most part, I do my best to take charge of each day.
”Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man wealthy, healthy and wise”... nursery rhyme.
This was a rhyme that stuck me to me like glue. My dad made sure of it. As a student, he didn't like tardiness or lateness. He was always in support of punctuality and he lived it. This, I had a good role model when it comes to executing that rhyme practically.
Going to bed early at night is one of the many hacks that helps me take charge of my day, especially my mornings. This way, when I am woken up from sleep, my head doesn't feel foggy; rather, I feel energetic to start my day.
I continued with this ritual even when I got into tertiary institution. I would wake up as early as 4am to fetch water, bathe and get myself ready for lecturers even before the rest of my roommates. They are usually surprised at how I am able to do it daily and I simply tell them my hack.
More than going to bed early, the second hack that has helped me take charge of my morning is to prepare my necessities for the following day at night. I prepare my clothes, undies, books, bag to use, shoes and pens against the next day. I keep them on a side chair next to my reading table so that when I wake up, I don't strat looking for this or that.
I usually set three alarms with a thirty minute distance between them so that if I miss one, the other would give me a wake up call. After waking up,the next is devotion. There's no debating this at all. I thank God for life and for the new day and I also lay out all my plans for the day, classes and all to Him while asking for strength and wisdom to scale through the day.
After that, I quickly take my bath and look for something to eat. I seldom exercise and this is usually done on weekends when I have more time with less to do in school.

I also love playing my favourite gospel songs early in the morning as this gets me all fired up for an active morning but this is only 90% of the time as there are some days that I want my mornings to be as quiet as possible so that I can revise my notes or meditate on the word of God.
One other thing that I do in the morning is to self validate and affirm myself. This is a hack that has helped stay grounded in my convictions, disciplined in my values and gain mastery of my day.
This is very crucial to me because it is what I say about myself that matters more that what others will say about me and I have learnt never to allow people speak words over me before I do so for myself as the opinions of others can have detrimental effects on my psyche if negative and that has the power to confuse my thoughts, cause me to be angry and transfer aggression unto others which would outrightly spoil my day
So, I speak lovingly and kindly to myself, affirming positive things to my person and if I have any unfinished goals from the previous day, I map out a plan on how to get it done.
After doing all this, breakfast should be the next agenda on my list and from there, the rest of the day carries on itself but with me in charge.
Thank you all for reading.

Wow, morning affirmations are good. I would try to add that into my routine moving forward

I sometimes do morning affirmations to myself because it's good and also good to say positive things to ourselves.
