The question of wether smart houses are really private is one that is worthy of discussion. Based on the fact that these new technologies have given people the opportunity to have smart devices, smart light bulbs, smart locks, smart assistant, smart thermostats, smart cameras, doorbells and so on, they also have the tendency to hinder privacy in their lives and safety as well. While some people are aware of the risk involved especially as they tend to store data so as to carry out tasks, some people are oblivious of this threat and all they seem to do is simply enjoy the conveniences it brings.

While smart devices can breach privacy, they are advantageous to some extent such as the areas of enhanced security, remote monitoring and convenience. This system allows people to control their devices by means of apps using their mobile phones or via voice commands. The voice command is one of the popular means of conveniently controlling smart devices in your house, office or workshop. Through the use of goodle assistants, you can tap in your data and the assistant would carry out the tasks for you.

While smart houses can have their advantages, the can also have their disadvantages. One has to be breach of trust or data, the data submitted by users can be misused and allow for scammers to hack into the system to carry out Dubious activities. I remember watching a Korean movie where the house had complete smart device installation, but somehow, a hacker was contracted by a political opponent, who hack into his his smart device where they were able to see and record all his activities.

Hence, the question of if smart houses are private or not is dependent on the number of devices, I would love to have smart devices because of convenient but one has to be careful of the information and data we reveal. These can be achieved by buying reputable le brands from reputable sources that offer strong security and can guarantee privacy. It is also advice that we employ the use of strong passwords that people cannot simply guess. Also, updating the software regularly can be if help to regulate vulnerabilities..

This is a part of my entry for the #februaryinleo prompt as organized by the @leogrowth team with great initiative that members of Hive you can participate in this prompt and tackle them as you deem fit.
