A Silent Reminder To Pay Attention To Our Health
The Nigeria entertainment industry lost one of its own a few days back. In as much as I'm not in a position to judge the dead, but in every death there are lessons for the living. When you take a look at how he died you will find out that his death may had been avoided.
Yes, we are all going to die at one point in time, but some deaths are avoidable. According to one of his friends, his heart was beating too fast a day to his death, which prompted him to visit a pharmacist who took his BP and discovered that it was too high. He was been lucky to visit the pharmacist when he did; if he could had delayed any longer it could had been too late.

He was given medication from the pharmacy to help regulate his BP. I think at this point he was supposed to visit a competent hospital for proper treatment, but he head home and even forgot to took his medication the following day.
Instead of his friends to be a good friend and pay attention to him, and make sure he receives adequate treatment and cares, they invited him to attend club instead even when he was telling them he was weak and tired.
From the club back to his hotel where he suffered a second attack and never came back alive.
Reading the friend's accounting for how he died, it was very heartbreaking thinking about everything he could had done different. Like why would someone who suppose to be at the hospital receiving adequate treatment be at a club? Why would the pharmacist gave him medication without pressing him to be admitted at the hospital?
This young man's death is a silent reminder for us to pay attention to our health. It's shows how a healthy looking body on the outside might not means all is well with our vitals organs.
A month ago, a friend of mine was having a persistent cough and chest pain. Her hospital kept on giving her cough medication plus some other heart burn medications even when she insisted on the hospital carrying out further tests on her. This has been going on for couples of weeks without any improvement until she went on her own to get a chest X-ray, and it was discovered that her heart has been swollen. Now she is undergoing adequate treatment at a different hospital.
Sometimes even the health facilities are not helping. If one is not paying attention to his or her health to know when to take appropriate actions, things can end terriblely.
I have had my fair share of hospital negligence that if I wasn't being attentive to my body, I might not be here writing this post today.
One great thing about human body is that before it collapse, most of the times it gives us signs and warnings, but some people likes to ignore this warning until it's a bit too late.
When they said eat healthy, some of us won't listen, forgetting that our body is a garbage in garbage out kind of system. We are what we feed our body, but some of us will still eat just anything we feels like just because we can access them.
And in this part of the world, alot of people will rather blame their innocent village people when things get bad instead of being accountable and take responsibility for their health. Yes, something must kill a man, and we are all going to die one way or another, but some deaths can be avoided if we pay attention to our health.
May we not leave this world untimely just because of our own negligence. This will be all for today, thank you for your attention and support. Bye 😊❣️.

You have said it all. You see some hospital negligence ehnn I have had several experiences with some hospitals. I don't think anything will ever take me to those hospitals again..
One must be cautious and attentive to their needs while in the hospital, as sometimes they make costly mistakes.
It's so sad how some people tend to think that they have two lives and don't take their health seriously. I have seen a lot of cases that led to death that could have been avoided, and seriously some are just the negligence of the health professionals. Last month a friend lost his wife and twin unborn babies because of the negligence of the nurses, when they told me what happened, I blamed the husband and wife for listening to the nurses because even they too can be careless and overwhelmed.
God will sha help us
If we should be talking about some of our nurses eh, the talk will be too long. Sorry about the loss of your friend.
May we not fall victim to the hospital and our own negligence .
Amen o 🙌
Thank you
It's so sad what happened to this person. I wish everyone would pay attention to the signals our bodies give us to take care of our health.
Thank you for these experiences and reflections that help us think about such an important topic!
Happy Saturday!
Some people take their illnesses lightly and don't take care of themselves. I've noticed that people with diabetes and kidney problems don't take care of themselves and self-medicate.
Best regards @funshee
This is true sadly, I hope people will learn how to prioritize their health and do better.
