Another Surprise Visit From My Favorite People

Our house has been quite lively the past several days. My uncle and cousin (from my father's side) came home from Canada and dropped by our place, together with three other cousins who currently live and work on the same island, last weekend before heading back to their hometown. They're coming back here before their flight back to Canada, so I'm excited!

Then the day before yesterday, my aunt and my younger cousin from my mom's side) surprised us with a sudden visit!

These two are among my favorite people in the world, and I want to share some stories about them. :)

Their visit the other day was so random... my cousin tried to convince his mom to visit us, even just for a night, because he's free from school, and he missed coming over. They live about an hour or two away by car, depending on traffic.

She was still in high school when I was born. We used to live in the same compound when I was in elementary school, so during this visit, we were reminiscing about some fun and interesting experiences we had back then.
Her son was the only cousin who couldn't live in that compound because the place had been sold, and we were asked to move out, unfortunately.

When I was younger, she used to help me a lot. I would say I'm her favorite niece. hahaha She was very strict with everyone except me.

My uncle (her husband) is also really close to my family. He was the first person to give me a laptop when I was in university, and it was a huge help with my studies back then.

It's so funny because my uncle always reminds me how strict I was when he was still courting my aunt. My aunt used to ask me to talk with her suitors, so it's like... they had to go through me first and get my approval. hahaha And among them, my uncle was the most persistent. lol

My aunt and uncle didn't have my cousin until more than 10 years into their marriage. I was already a university student when he was born, and when he was much younger, he used to call me "Mama" since I also took care of him.

He's also one of my favorite cousins, and he's like a son to me. We usually bond over art, music, and games.

During their visit, we sang karaoke at home and played mobile games. He also updated me on some of his life and school events, and shared his new favorite artists and other stuff.

They couldn't stay longer, though, because they now have two cats (Eishi and Rain) waiting for them at home. They can't bring them here because we have two dogs, and I'm a bit allergic to cats because of my asthma.

Nevertheless, we had a great time despite them just staying overnight. We bonded over food and lots of catching up. My aunt also gave my mom and me some lovely outfits. hahah

It was a short surprise visit, but I loved it! I hope to spend Christmas with them, along with my other aunt and cousin. We usually get together during that time of year. :)
