[ENG/ESP] A pass of details between orchids and chocolates.
Hello dear hives, I wish you a nice Sunday and, of course, congratulations to all mothers on their day.
I will tell you that last Saturday my husband invited me to La Vela mall with the intention that I would spend some quiet time, enjoy a moment of relaxation and, in addition, I could choose part of my gift for Mother's Day. I say “part” because I know that his real intention in taking me out of the house was to give me a break while he and our son prepared a special surprise for this Sunday. However, I decided to pretend to be oblivious and just enjoy the outing.
The weather was perfect, the sky bluer than in previous days, which made every picture I took look amazing. The natural light brought out the colors and details of each one, making my walk great and very pleasant, wherever I went.
Hola queridos hives, les deseo un lindo domingo y, por supuesto, felicitaciones a todas las madres en su día.
Les contaré que el pasado sábado mi esposo me invitó al centro comercial La Vela con la intención de que pasara un rato tranquila, disfrutara de un momento de esparcimiento y, además, pudiera escoger parte de mi regalo por el Día de las Madres. Digo "parte" porque sé que su verdadera intención al sacarme de casa era darme un respiro mientras él y nuestro hijo preparaban una sorpresa especial para este domingo. Sin embargo, decidí hacerme la que no me daba cuenta de nada y simplemente disfrutar de la salida.
El clima estaba perfecto, el cielo más azul que en días anteriores, lo que hacía que cada fotografía que tomaba tuviera un aspecto increíble. La luz natural resaltaba los colores y detalles de cada, haciendo de mi paseo genial y muy agradable, por dónde pasaba.
When we arrived at La Vela, the first feeling I experienced was relief. Entering the air-conditioned mall is always a joy, especially since the heat has been intense on the island these days. As soon as I crossed the entrance, the cool atmosphere and the beautiful Mother's Day decorations made me feel as if I was being welcomed. They had arranged several spaces decorated with flower stands, where orchids were predominant. I stopped to look at them and although I didn't buy any, I took the opportunity to learn more about their care. They explained to me what nutrients I could add to them so that they would bloom more frequently, which left me very satisfied, because now I know how to give them better treatment and encouragement to mine.
Cuando llegamos a La Vela, la primera sensación que experimenté fue alivio. Entrar al centro comercial climatizado es siempre una felicidad, sobre todo porque en la isla el calor ha sido intenso en estos días. Nada más cruzar la entrada, el ambiente fresco y ver la decoración hermosa por el Día de las Madres me hicieron sentir como si me estuvieran dando la bienvenida. Habían dispuesto varios espacios adornados con stands de flores, donde predominaban las orquídeas. Me detuve a observarlas y aunque no compré ninguna, aproveché la ocasión para aprender más sobre su cuidado. Me explicaron qué nutrientes podía agregarles para que florecieran con más frecuencia, lo cual me dejó muy satisfecha, pues ahora sé cómo darles mejor trato y aliento a las mías.
We continued our tour, walking slowly and enjoying every detail of the place. After a while we arrived at a chocolate stand, and I must admit that I loved it. They had a great variety of chocolates and spreadable butters of different flavors, but it was some chocolates in particular that caught my attention; chocolate with hazelnuts, with no added sugar, sweetened only with honey. I thought they were exquisite. Personally, I don't enjoy sweets with too much sugar, because I feel they lose their original flavor. Each ingredient has its own essence and when they tell you that a chocolate is bitter, it really should be, it is part of its essence, at least I prefer it that way.
Seguimos nuestro recorrido, caminando lentamente y disfrutando de cada detalle del lugar. Al poco tiempo llegamos a un stand de bombones, y debo admitir que me encantó. Contaban con una gran variedad de chocolates y mantequillas untables de diferentes sabores, pero fueron unos bombones en particular los que captaron mi atención; chocolate con avellanas, sin azúcar añadida, endulzados únicamente con miel. Me parecieron exquisitos. Personalmente, no disfruto los dulces que tienen demasiada azúcar, porque siento que pierden su sabor original. Cada ingrediente tiene su propia esencia y cuando te dicen que un chocolate es amargo, realmente debe serlo, es parte de su esencia, al menos yo lo prefiero así.
After savoring the delicious chocolates and taking some away, we continued exploring the mall a bit more, taking some pictures and enjoying the moment until we finally decided to head home.
Después de saborear los deliciosos bombones y llevar algunos, continuamos explorando el centro comercial un poco más, tomando algunas fotos y disfrutando del momento hasta que finalmente decidimos regresar a casa.
As we left, the heat was again overwhelming, but the beauty of the urban and natural scenery distracted us, allowing us to enjoy the ride without thinking too much about the temperature.
Al salir, el calor volvió a ser abrumador, pero la belleza del paisaje urbano y natural nos distrajo, permitiéndonos disfrutar del trayecto sin pensar demasiado en la temperatura.
Well, dear hives, later I will tell you about the surprise my husband and son prepared for this Sunday. I am sure it will be something very special, whenever the two of them get together to surprise me they always succeed, they know how to do it very well.
For the moment I really enjoyed my walk in the mall between Orquídeas and Bombones.
