Celebrating Mom's birthday [Esp/Eng]

El 06 de Abril fue el cumpleaños de una de las mujeres más fuertes, guerreras y ejemplares que conozco y por supuesto, se trata de la mujer que le dio la vida a la gran Rosmiapure.

Les cuento que mis hermanas y yo estuvimos como desde la mitad del mes de marzo planificando que hacer, como organizarnos y dividirnos porque las personas que quieren a mi mamá son un número significante y, pensábamos en que si le cantábamos cumpleaños tendríamos que invitar a mucha gente a compartir con ella y eso significaba un gasto de dinero bastante fuerte, pero, bueno, Madre es Madre y, después de todo lo que hacen para llevarlo a uno hasta donde hoy día me encuentro, eso tiene mucho más valor.

April 6th was the birthday of one of the strongest, warrior and exemplary women I know and of course, she is the woman who gave life to the great Rosmiapure.

I tell you that my sisters and I were planning what to do since the middle of March, how to organize and divide ourselves because the people who love my mom are a significant number and we thought that if we sang her birthday we would have to invite many people to share with her and that meant spending a lot of money, but, well, Mother is Mother and, after all they do to take you to where I am today, that has much more value.

El punto es que se llegó el mes de abril y no paramos de escuchar a mamá decir que no quería que le celebráramos el cumpleaños, que ese día ella quería estar tranquila y estar feliz en su casa. Bueno, lo cierto es que se llegó el día y de verdad sentíamos que esto no podía pasar por debajo de la mesa, así que pensamos en un almuerzo especial solo para ella y no, esta vez no queríamos cocinar y al poco rato recordamos que ella tenía un tiempo diciendo que quería salir a comer un pollo asado o carne asada, por lo mis hermanas y yo, nos vestimos rápidamente y salimos justo a la hora que mamá regresaba de la iglesia, así que la agarramos a mitad de camino y nos desviamos hacia un lugar que es muy reconocido aquí en Apure y donde venden carne asada muy buena.

The point is that April arrived and we kept hearing mom saying that she didn't want us to celebrate her birthday, that she wanted to be quiet and happy at home that day. Well, the truth is that the day came and we really felt that this could not go under the table, so we thought of a special lunch just for her and no, this time we did not want to cook and shortly after we remembered that she had been saying for a while that she wanted to go out for a roast chicken or roast beef, so my sisters and I quickly got dressed and left just at the time mom was coming back from church, so we caught her half way and took a detour to a place that is very well known here in Apure and where they sell very good carne asada.

Mi madre es de muy poco salir, ya que le da flojera andar en las calles de aquí de San Fernando por el sol que es muy fuerte al igual que el calor, así que casi siempre terminamos pidiendo un delivery o con una de sus hijas saliendo a buscar lo que vamos a comer más tarde en casa y esta vez, la misión era alcanzar a mamá antes de que llegara a nuestra casa para así poder ir hasta este hermoso lugar para disfrutar de su día.

Siendo sincera, mi madre no es una mujer perfecta, pero es uno de los mejores ejemplos a seguir que tenemos y, aunque muchas veces discutimos por cosas que no tienen sentido, sabemos que nos amamos y respetamos una a la otra y esto se debe a que ella desde que somos pequeñas nos ha inculcado a que tengamos ese amor entre hermanas, al igual que siempre ha luchado para que cada una de nosotras logre disfrutar y tener cosas que ella no pudo tener en su etapa de niñez.

My mother is not a very outgoing person, as she is too lazy to walk in the streets here in San Fernando because of the sun that is very strong and the heat, so we almost always end up ordering a delivery or with one of her daughters going out to get what we are going to eat later at home and this time, the mission was to catch mom before she got to our house so we could go to this beautiful place to enjoy her day.

To be honest, my mother is not a perfect woman, but she is one of the best role models we have and, although we often argue over things that make no sense, we know that we love and respect each other and this is because since we were little she has instilled in us to have that love between sisters, just as she has always fought for each of us to enjoy and have things that she could not have in her childhood.

Creo que teníamos mucho que no salíamos de casa para compartir un rato solo nosotras cuatro y la verdad es que se sintió muy gratificante poder sacar a nuestra madre a comer y de verdad que nos sentíamos oficialmente como unas adultas responsables y útiles jajaja.

Mi madre se sentía muy feliz porque sentía que al fin iba a matar ese antojo de comer carne asada con cachapa así como a ella le gusta y que esto de verdad fue una gran sorpresa porque cuando ella salió de casa temprano pensaba que pasaría su día en tranquilidad y que no habría algo fuera de lo normal.

Así que esas son las tres niñas, el tesoro más preciado de la señora Neidis y sentimos que estábamos retribuyendo un poco de eso que nuestra madre nos entrega cada día de su vida.

I think we hadn't left the house for a long time to share some time with just the four of us and the truth is that it felt very gratifying to be able to take our mother out to eat and we really felt officially like responsible and useful adults, hahaha.

My mother was very happy because she felt that she was finally going to kill that craving to eat carne asada con cachapa just the way she likes it and this was really a big surprise because when she left the house early she thought she would spend her day in peace and quiet and that there would be nothing out of the ordinary.

So those are the three girls, Mrs. Neidis' most precious treasure and we felt that we were giving back a little bit of what our mother gives us every day of her life.

Bueno señores, aquí les presento a mi querida madre, uno de los motores principales de mi vida y les cuento que de verdad esa mujer estaba muy feliz allí donde estaba y se disfruto sus alimento y puedo creer que se sentía muy orgullosa de ella, de sus hijas y de la vida porque en cierta forma es ver que lo que ella ha sembrado en nosotras a dado sus frutos y esto es cosecha de su siembra.

Well, gentlemen, here I present to you my dear mother, one of the main engines of my life and I tell you that truly this woman was very happy wherever she was and she enjoyed her food and I can believe that she was very proud of herself, her daughters and life because in a way it is to see that what she has sown in us has borne fruit and this is the harvest of her sowing.
