High School Friends: Tagaytay Reunion
Hey everyone!
How's life treating you all?
It feels like just yesterday we were all together during the last holiday weekend, going to church at Padre Pio and exploring the City of Seven Lakes; and guess what? We just had another fantastic get-together last weekend!
This time, we decided to make a little Tagaytay getaway out of it. We booked an Airbnb room and spent Saturday night catching up and just enjoying each other's company. It's funny our get-togethers have evolved; instead of the usual beers and vodka, we found ourselves happily sipping on chia seed and lemon-cucumber smoothies! This changes reflects how our priorities have changed as we've become more health-conscious, even opting for healthier meals over our old fast-food habits.
During our conversations, we realized that some of us are now navigating health conditions that require careful attention to diet, a clear sign of the years that have passed. It's quite the opposite to our "you only live once" high school days filled with carefree partying. Now, with families and responsibilities, a more… responsible approach to life seems to have naturally taken hold. Two decades since graduation, we've certainly seen changes, not just in our physical appearance, but also in our habits and perspectives on life.
If you're looking for a truly peaceful spot for a get-together in Tagaytay, Crosswinds is absolutely ideal. It's like stepping into a tranquil escape, surrounded by lush greenery and a quiet that really makes you forget you're anywhere near the hustle and bustle of the city. It's the perfect place to disconnect and unwind. Plus, they have some lovely cafes inside for food and drinks, and parking is never a hassle.
This recent meet-up in Tagaytay was wonderfully relaxed and filled with laughter. We spent hours fondly remembering our crazy high school escapades while also sharing our current dreams and aspirations. It really underscored how precious these long-term friendships are, and I sincerely hope we don't wait another ten years for our next gathering. Perhaps we can make these get-togethers a more regular part of our lives? Sounds like a good plan, right?
So, as the Tagaytay air grew cooler and our laughter echoed a little longer, it really hit me how special these connections are. Life keeps moving, and we're all navigating its twists and turns, but these moments, where we can just be ourselves and share where we are now, are truly invaluable. Let's definitely try to make these happen more often, yeah? Looking forward to the next time we can all get together again!
What are some of your favorite memories with your own high school friends, and how do you all keep those bonds strong over the years? Looking forward to hearing your stories!
Thanks for reading and see you on my next one!

!LUV this. Glad you were able to make time for this gathering. More get-togethers dapat talaga, lalo na pag tumatanda na. sa circle naman namin, we have a gc where someone randomly calls for coffee or chika and kung sino pwede, sasama. Most of the time, complete naman kami, except sa nasa abroad na. Siya na nagffund ng get-togethers namin kahit di sya kasama hahaha
