Celebrando el Segundo Cumpleaños de Nuestra Hija 🎂 🥳 (ESP-ENG)

Durante el fin de semana, ¡tuvimos la suerte de celebrar el segundo cumpleaños de nuestra hija menor! 🥳 Ha sido todo un viaje. Tuve un embarazo muy difícil con la pequeña Riley, estuve muy enferma todo el tiempo, y la verdad es que no sabía si lo lograríamos. Así que, no hace falta decirlo, es una alegría celebrar este hito juntos en familia. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧

Over the weekend, we were blessed to have celebrated our youngest daughter's 2nd birthday! 🥳 It has been quite the journey. I had a very difficult pregnancy with little Riley, very sick throughout the whole thing, and I truly did not know if we would make it. So needless to say, it is a joy to be celebrating this milestone together as a family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧

El día empezó de maravilla 🙏 Mi esposo y yo pudimos despertarnos antes que los niños, pero lo más importante, ¡pudimos preparar la decoración a tiempo! 🙌 Mi esposo pudo inflar globos mientras yo me ponía a hacer su pastel 🎂

The day started off wonderfully 🙏 My husband and I were both able to wake up before the kids, but more importantly, we were able to get her decorations set up in time! 🙌 My husband was able to blow up balloons while I got started on her cake 🎂

Una vez que terminamos, nos reunimos con mi madre y mi abuela en el parque. 😊 ¡Antes, nuestras dos hijas les tenían miedo a sus figuras maternas! Hoy, por suerte, ya no corren peligro con desconocidos.

Once that was finished, we met up with my mother and grandma at the park 😊 At one time, both of our daughters were terrified of their maternal figures! Today, thankfully they no longer experience stranger danger.

Este regalo fue de mi madre. ¡Le compró a Riley una grabadora de voz musical! 😂 Los niños ya se lo han pasado genial con ella.

This gift was from my mother. She bought Riley a musical voice recorder! 😂 The kids have already been having great fun with it.

Después de eso, fuimos al centro comercial a comprar algo para cenar. Kiva disfrutó mucho paseando a su hermanita 😄

After that, we took a trip to the mall to pick something up for dinner. Kiva really enjoyed pulling her baby sister around 😄

¡Hora de cenar y pastel! 🎂🙏 Puse a prueba mis habilidades reposteras; esta fue mi primera vez horneando un pastel de tres pisos, ¡y de chocolate! 😱 No quedó perfecto, pero en general todos lo disfrutaron mucho. Era un pastel de chocolate con fresas.

Time for dinner and cake! 🎂🙏 I really put my baking skills to the test; this was my first time baking a three-tier cake -- AND a chocolate one! 😱 It came out far from perfect, but overall everybody really enjoyed it! This was a chocolate cake with strawberries.

Abrimos los regalos 🎁 Riley estaba contenta con todo lo que recibió: pompas de jabón, vestido rosa, tren de juguete, tablero de dibujo... Claro, no queríamos descuidar a Kiva durante todo el evento; aún es muy pequeña para entender que los cumpleaños son un día especial para esa persona. Mi suegra tuvo la consideración de comprarle a nuestra hija mayor un kit de maquillaje para que se entretuviera 😂

We opened presents 🎁 Riley was happy with everything she received: bubble blower, pink dress, toy train, drawing board... Of course, we didn't want to neglect Kiva during the whole thing; she is still pretty young to understand that birthdays are a special day for that person. My mother-in-law was considerate enough to buy our oldest a makeup kit to help keep her preoccupied 😂

Hacia el final de la noche, finalmente le revelé mi regalo a Riley. Era una obra de arte en la que había estado trabajando durante la semana. (No la dibujé, solo la coloreé 🙏). Riley aún no tiene edad para apreciar el gesto, pero parecía muy feliz al verlo 😄

Towards the end of the night, I finally revealed my own gift for Riley. It was a piece of art that I had been working on over the week. (I did not draw this, ONLY colored 🙏) Riley isn't quite old enough to appreciate the gesture, but she seemed very happy when she saw it 😄

Por fin llegó la puesta de sol... ¡Un final perfecto para un día perfecto! 🥰 ¡No podría estar más feliz con cómo salió todo! Riley tuvo un día maravilloso, todos pudimos celebrar en familia y, como resultado, mi esposo, sin querer, tuvo un Día del Padre maravilloso. 🙏❤️

Finally, there was the sunset... A perfect ending to a perfect day 🥰 I truly could not be happier with how everything went! Riley had a wonderful day, we all got to celebrate as a family, and as a result my husband inadvertently had a wonderful Father's Day! 🙏❤️
