I am "More" than my art (a self introduction)
In every art that is made, there's a story, a character and emotion poured into every piece. Just like every person, each one holds a unique story, character and traits. So, let me tell you a piece of mine.

Hello, I am Maria Moriella Tellez Camino. My name is too long, so you can call me "More". I am a freelance artist, a wife, a mom of two wonderful children and I am also teaching English to kids as my part-time job. I am so happy to have found this platform where I could express myself. I will use this cyber space as my canvass to paint my art in the form of words where I will share a lot about me and my experiences. I want to show you how I see the world as much as I want to know how you see through it.

Since I was little, I express my emotions and my thoughts through different forms of art. Painting, sculpting, poem writing, making short stories and others, these things became my escape rope from reality. Through these, I made myself a different world where I can be me and be away from the hardships thrown by what will call life.

My childhood was not as colorful as the starry night painting. It was black and white. I did not have time to play back then. I needed to hustle at a young age along with my other three older sisters who were also kids back then. Even before, we were making art pieces to survive. We make bracelets and other accessories in bulk and sell them to the market to make ends meet. We have to do it or else we will not be able to put food on the table and my sisters will not have pocket money for school. While other kids played outside, we were busy surviving.

With the help of someone so dear, my stepdad who my mom knew when my sisters are in highschool already, we were able to study. I was able to finish my bachelor's degree. I was able to work and later on build my own family. Life now is not as hard as before when I was young but I'm still learning. I still have a cup overflowing with stories that I think I needed to pour into someone else's because all of my hardships, my experiences and also the positive things I went through can be a lesson to someone else. Also, this is my way to be understood. This way I will be able to make people know me better and why I am who I am right now.

This is also the very reason why I was so glad that I came across Ms. Antonnete post about the opportunity to write on this website. I told myself, "This is it". This is where I belong. This is where I'm going to pour my heart and my stories that no one heard. I asked for her help and guidance for me to understand this platform and she happily shared the rules and policies in posting. I fully understand that using A.I. in posting is strictly prohibited which I will follow. I also learned the importance of quality engaging within the community. These things made me excited to join in the platform even more because I know that I can freely express myself and the things that I will be able to read here came from the heart of the other writers. This means, I will be able to acquire more genuine knowledge.

So, come with me as I show you what these eyes of mine saw and will see and as I share to you a piece of me for every written art that I will make in the future.
