Unexpected Freebie Xiaomi’s Type-C Earphones
「 Who doesn’t like freebies? 」
About a week ago, I got a free Xiaomi Type-C headset and that was totally unexpected. It was something like a raffle. So, while I got some options like screen protector, screen wipes, and such, I went for this Xiaomi headset.
Unlike most affordable and budget out there, the packaging was quite premium compared to the other similar headset in that range. Inside the box you’d get extra ear buds, some thick instruction in different languages and a non-braided cable headset. Honestly, it’s as basic as it gets but it’s my first type-C headset and I was just slightly fascinated by it.
After unboxing, I tried it and was surprised that they don't fall off easily. It’s easy to carry but still having the same problem as any wired headset, it’s easy to get tangled and twisted which could impact its durability. As far as I know they have two colors and I happen to get the white one. For the earbuds itself, it fits my ear pretty nicely and I like the fact that it comes with more than just one ear buds replacement.
Since this is a type C device, I know that it could hinder your ability to listen to music or laptop without a type C plug. For me, I’ve tested it on all of my devices including my laptop and it worked just alright. So, you don’t have to worry for the most part as it’s compatible with most devices these days. The controls feature basic volume adjuster but also a connection to Google AI assistant if you double click on the middle part of the button.
Now,if you’re curious about the sound quality, this is a great one to be used while you work in a noisy environment. It blocks the noise from outside even on mid volume. I was comparing it to Anker Soundcore and when it comes to blocking noise from the outside, Xiaomi type C headset works best. So, you can work conveniently without getting bothered by extra noises outside. During calls it also works pretty fine although unlike Soundcore products that have adjustable audio settings, this one is as basic as it gets.
In the end, if you’re looking for a cheaper and affordable replacement for your headset, this one from Xiaomi can be quite competitive. If you ask me, would I buy this if it weren’t free? Honestly, not. It’s not because of the quality issue but rather, I prefer wireless or headphone since I tend to break and twist this type of headset more often. However, if you’re trying to purchase another brand in this type of design, Xiaomi is the solid one.
What a great gift Mac! I've never really had airpods or inhalambrics earphones, they've always been wired and I'm fine with that because I hate having to be on the lookout for electrically charging electronic equipment, It's annoying for me!
Sad history: With your post I just remembered that the last ones I bought have been very good, they have been with me for about 3 years, they are Samsung and brought the same peplacement parts. I love that they adapt super well to the ear and suppress all external sound. I was happy with that and one day, doing general cleaning, I threw away the box with the spare parts, how sad! it still hurts me that because I have not seen them sold alone 🥲🥲, anyway! i love my headphone and i hope you enjoy yours new one too.
Greeting Mac 💜
hahahaha yeah, I can see that. It can be annoying for sure but with this one, you'll never have to worry about all that. Have a great day Dalla!
Freebies always feel better hahahaa! I have a pair of wireless Xiaomis and they're great!
Oooh, I never thought about getting pair of Xiaomi but it was a pleasant surprise.
Mine are freebies too! Gift from my wife haha!
Oh, I also love freebies! The design is okay too. I still use a wired earphones especially if I have to be out for a long time. It's still really annoying when it get tangled 🫠.
Hahahah for sure, it's gets annoying when it's all tangled 🤣
Anyway freebies always better who's not like if... The design also ok type C xiomai has most of them type headphones my daughter using this brand... I it's good work also.
I picked up a pair of Xiaomi wireless airbuds that are priced around the $25 mark. They're actually insane for the quality. Battery life is great, charges fast, the sound quality is great, and the noise cancellation is almost like briefly coming deaf when you put them in.
I think the brand has managed to pull itself together over the years, they're really putting the nonsensical pricing of Apple and Samsung to shame.
That's what I was surprised too since in the past they are known as this cheap brand that doesn't do quality. Nowadays, they definitely rise above samsung.
I love useful gifts 👍
Me too! Usually people don't really give you a useful gift but that one, man that was sooo useful
It always feels amazing to get gifts.
Btw these white earphones remembers me the OG ones used to come with Samsung in past. Out of the pair, one used to be short and the other long, not sure about the other regions.
Honestly, maybe Xiaomi duplicate the model? But back in the day the Samsung one had a shit quality esp when they are priced around similar as that Xiaomi. So, it's like even Xiaomi has improved so much that now I am fairly surprised
felicidades por tu nueva adquisición!
congratulations on your new acquisition!
i also got the xiaomi type c headset, i think it free from raffle or something. i use it and sound is good, not fall from ear. but always tangled, i don’t like that 😅 almost broke my phone pulling it haha. but for free, not bad at all.
The always tangled part is what I hate the most. But I mean, it's free can't really complain 🤣
They look great! I'm not a big fan of wired earphones, but those being type C seems really useful 🤔
hahahaha yeah. I am not fan either but it's free so I won't complain much 🤣
Wow I didn't know they had type C earphones! My current phone doesn't have that round hole anymore and I had to buy an adaptor to be able to use my earphones.
Oooh what kind of phone do you have? It's actually my first time knowing phone doesn't have that round hole anymore 🤣
Hmm Samsung S23 I think!
That's interesting
