Mimus polyglottos: An unexpected bird (ENG / SPN)

Greetings, happy day or night. I wish a very happy April to the beautiful Feathered Friends community. Today I'm back to share with you a bird that I didn't expect to see in my backyard, nor in my country, because if I'm not mistaken in identifying it, it's an animal that should exist in North America, Central America, and the Caribbean, so I'm surprised it's in the Venezuelan plains. I suppose it migrated here. This bird is related to another bird, which I've already told you about, the Paraulata Llanera, whose scientific name is Mimus gilvus, but Mimus polyglotto is smaller and its beak is a little shorter.

Saludos, feliz día o noche. Deseo un muy feliz mes de Abril a la hermosa comunidad Feathered Friends. Hoy he vuelto para compartir con ustedes un ave que no esperaba ver mi solar, ni tampoco en mi país, pues si no estoy equivocada al identificarle, es un animal que debería existir en Norteamérica, Centroamérica y el Caribe, así que me sorprende que esté en los llanos venezolanos. Supongo que migró hasta aquí. Esta ave está emparentada con otra, de la cual ya le he hablado, con la paraulata llanera, cuyo nombre científico es Mimus gilvus, pero Mimus polyglotto es más pequeña y su pico un poco más corto.

I saw this specimen in the guava tree, perched in search of ripe fruit. It remained perched on a branch, attentive to my movements, but after a few minutes it took flight. However, I still had time to take a few photos.

A este ejemplar lo ví en el árbol de guayabas, mientras se posaba en búsqueda de fruta madura. Se quedó posado en una rama, muy atento a mis movimientos, pero luego de pocos minutos emprendió el vuelo, sin embargo me dio tiempo de tomarle algunas fotos.

According to what I've read, this bird is known as the common mockingbird, although people here call it the paraulata, confusing the two species. I know it's Mimus polyglotto because its wings have very fine white lines along the edges.

Según lo que leí, esta ave se conoce como cenzontle común o también sinsonte norteño, aunque aquí la gente le conoce como paraulata, confundiendo las dos especies. Sé que se trata de Mimus polyglotto porque las alas tienen líneas blancas muy finas en los bordes.

According to my research, this bird imitates the songs of others, but I haven't observed this directly because there are so many birds singing at once on my property that it's sometimes difficult to distinguish them. I found this specimen very beautiful—young, vigorous, and with superb plumage. It's truly gorgeous.

De acuerdo a lo que investigué, esta ave imita el canto de otras, pero esto no lo he observado directamente, porque en mi solar hay tantas aves cantando a la vez, que es difícil distinguirlos en ocasiones. Este ejemplar me pareció muy bonito, joven, vigoroso, y con un plumaje estupendo. Es realmente bonita.
