šŸ¦‰ The common sandpiper (Actitis hypoleucos)

This is strange. Look at the photo above. This place is very far from the city, it is a wild forest, and this place in the photo is, I think, shown on old maps as a swamp. Do you see any swamp or any source of water here? Exactly, there is nothing like that here.

However, it was here that I met this sandpiper.
These guys live near water, that is, rivers.

How did he get here, why is he here... so many questions. If there was once a swamp here, it was clearly a very long time ago, and the bird is unlikely to remember it due to its age.

Love to watch the little sandpiper families we have on the beaches, most unusual to find this one far from water, hopefully it will find it's way home.
