The Nest Art Challenge /Feathered Art Work # 2 /My Favorite Feathered One (Eng_Esp)

#featheredfriends , I'm here to participate in my friend @maiasun84's initiative, which is currently offering entries in the craft category.

Since crafts are one of them, and crochet is one of them, I'm taking the plunge and showing you my finished piece.

Giving you a little history and explaining why I chose this bird, I'll tell you that when I was little, my pets were chicks. I lived in a rural area, and in that country house, my father had a prolific brood of chickens.

When chickens are left with just one chick, they often reject it. I would take them in and raise them "titi," as this type of adoption is popularly called in the Cuban countryside.

When I took out a chicken, I would spend hours watching how cute the newborn chicks usually are.

So, in tribute to my "Titis," I made this piece, and I'll try to describe the process below.

MATERIALS AND TOOLS

_ Materials

_ Thick yarn threads for making eggs and chickens
_ Thick cotton thread for the basket
_ Two black beads for the eyes
_ A small piece of light orange foam for the beak

Tools

_ 8.88 mm ergonomic crochet hook
_ Four cardboard circles, two smaller for the head and two slightly larger for the body
_ Scissors
_ Hot glue gun and stick

I want to clarify that I create my own designs; I don't work with tutorials. When I have a specific piece commissioned, I create it by looking at the photo provided by the client.

I've tried to follow some tutorials and get lost halfway through.

That's why I didn't keep trying even though I solved it visually satisfactorily.

The order in which I should weave is required, as the project progresses.

_The basket to place the other pieces
_The six unshelled eggs
_The two halves of the eggshell where I'll place the chick
_The pom-poms that will be the chick's head and body
_The eyes glued with hot glue
_The beak, following a similar procedure to the previous one.

Once my work is finished, before showing it to others, I enjoy it as a creator.

That's why I took my basket to my backyard where I have my little green universe, placed it on the grass, and heard the chirping of all my chicks again.

Because my pieces are unique, it's sometimes hard for me to let go of them.

I love, most of all, the tenderness of their little faces.

Hola mis queridos #hivers , de #amigosemplumados, llego hasta acá para participar en la iniciativa de la amiga @maiasun84, que en esta oportunidad convoca en la modalidad de artes manuales.

Cómo dentro de ellas está la artesanía y en esta el tejido a crochet, me aventuro a participar y le muestro mi pieza terminada.

Haciendo un poco de historia y el por qué elijo esta ave, les cuento que de pequeña, mis mascotas fueron pollitos, vivía en una zona rural y en esa casa de campo, mi papá tenía una prolífera cría de gallinas.

Cuando las gallinas se quedan con un solo pollo , muchas veces lo rechazan, ahí yo los acogía y los criaba "a titi" como se dice popularmente a este tipo de adopción en el campo cubano.

Cuando sacaba una gallina, pasaba horas mirando lo gracioso que suelen ser los pollitos recién nacidos.

Por eso en homenaje a mis "Titis" confeccioné está obra que, a continuación trataré de describir el proceso.

MATERIALES Y HERRAMIENTAS

_ Materiales

_ Hilos de estambre gruesos para confección de huevos y pollo
_Hilo de algodón grueso para la cesta.
_Dos cuentas negras para los ojos
_ Un pequeño pedacito de foami naranja claro para el pico.

Herramientas

_Aguja ergonómicá para crochet de 8.88 mm
_ Cuatro círculos de cartón dos más pequeños para la cabeza y dos un tanto más grandes para el cuerpo.
_Una tijera.
_Pistola y barra de silicona caliente.

Quiero aclarar que soy creadora de mis propios diseños,no trabajo con tutoriales.cuando tengo algún encargo de una pieza específicamente, la hago observando la foto que me facilite el cliente

He intentado seguir algún tutorial y me pierdo a mitad del trabajo.

Por eso no lo segui intentando si visualmente lo resuelvo satisfactoriamente.

El orden en que debo tejer me lo obliga, según avanza la confección del trabajo.

_La cesta para ir colocando las otras piezas
_Los seis huevos sin casquear.
_Las dos mitades de cascarón dónde pondré el pollito.
_Los pompones que serán la cabeza y el cuerpo del pollo.
_Los ojitos pegados con silicona caliente.
_ El pico con proceder similar al anterior.

Una vez que terminó mi trabajo, antes de mostrarlo a otro , lo disfruto como creadora.

Por eso llevé mi cesta a mi patio trasero donde tengo mi pequeño universo verde, coloqué la cesta en el cesped y volví a sentir el piar de todos mis pollitos.

Cómo mis piezas son únicas, me cuesta a veces desprenderme de ellas.

Amo, principalmente, la ternura de sus caritas.
