DANCER / THE NEST ART CHALLENGE _Feather Writing Competition No.1 (Eng_Esp)

Greetings to all the regulars of this #featheredfriends community.

Responding to the initiative of @maiasun84, I came here for the first time, with the proposal of a very picturesque and well-known bird both on and off our island of Cuba.

This is the Amazona leucocephala, that's its scientific name, but we all know it as the Pink-necked Parrot; some call it the Cuban Amazon.

The Parrot is a talkative bird that adapts easily and lives in homes. In fact, in captivity, its lifespan is longer under these conditions than in the wild.

Because of its bright colors, where green predominates, and its chattering, repeating the words humans teach it, it is poached and hunted for illegal trade.

This has put it in danger of extinction, so it has been necessary to ban it, and apply strict laws and sanctions to those who violate them and traffic it illegally.

The poem I bring you below is included in the category of children's literature and will be included in a booklet with a music theme.

Based on Cuban rhythms, well-known in our folklore, each poem combines a popular animal, which, in my opinion, most closely resembles the rhythm discussed, thus contrasting art and nature.

"DANCER," my sample today, features a boisterous parrot, as Cuban as the mambo she enjoys.

DANCER

In the midst of the stillness
the green parrot struggles,
she thinks she's a dancer!
She takes the title very seriously.
"The mambo, how delicious the mambo!"
(She exposes her tail to the sun)
her neighbors, upon hearing it,
are running out of patience.
annoyed
by the seagull's trembling,
hummingbirds and tocororos
are amazed by her madness.
"The mambo is so delicious..."
she repeated to herself every hour,
sparrows and tomeguines
crowd each other in the revelry.
But the dancer dances,
she cares little
for her neighbors' complaints
for her noise drives them mad.
They'll have to punish her
for bothering that noisy woman.

Un saludo a todos los asiduos a esta comunidad de #amigosemplumados.

Respondiendo a la iniciativa de @maiasun84 , llego hasta aquí por primera vez, con la propuesta de un ave muy pintoresca y reconocida dentro y fuera de nuestra isla de Cuba.

Se trata de la Amazona leucocephala, ese es su nombre científico, pero todos la conocemos por Cotorra de Cuello Rosado, algunos le dicen Amazona Cubana.

La Cotorra es un ave parlanchína que se adapta fácilmente y vive en los hogares, en cautiverio de hecho, su vida es más prolongada bajo estás condiciones que cuando lleva una vida silvestre.

Por sus colores brillantes donde predomina el verde y su parloteo de repetir los bocadillos que le enseñan los humanos es perseguida y cazada de manera furtiva para su comercialización.

Esto la ha puesto en peligro de extinción por lo que ha sido necesario ponerla en veda, y aplicar leyes y sanciones rigurosas para los que violen las mismas y la trafiquen de manera ilegal.

La poesía que les traigo a continuación, está comprendida en la modalidad de literatura para niños y formará número en un cuaderno cuya temática es la música.

Basado en ritmos cubanos, bien conocidos de nuestro folklore y van combinados, en cada poema con un animalito popular, que a mí juicio, se parece más al ritmo que se trata en él ,así en contraste el arte y la naturaleza.

BAILARINA , mi muestra de hoy, les trae de protagonista una Cotorra bullanguera y tan cubana como el mismísimo Mambo que disfruta.

BAILARINA

En medio de la quietud
pugna la verde cotorra,
¡es que se cree danzarina!
muy serio el título toma.
-El mambo, que rico el mambo-
(Al sol expone la cola)
sus vecinos al oír,
la paciencia se les colma.
Fastidiada se quedó
del trepidar la gaviota,
zunzunes y tocororos
por su locura se asombran.
-el mambo que rico es…-
se repetía a cada hora,
gorriones y tomeguines
con la juerga se presionan.
Más, danza la bailarina,
a ella poco le importan
las quejas de sus vecinos
que su ruido los aloca.
La tendrán que castigar
por molesta a esa ruidosa.

Es un regalo para sus pequeños, espero la lean y les guste.
