Little by little, autumn is making itself felt, the days are no longer so sunny, and this week we have been having the peculiar drizzle of this time of year, Luckily we took these photographs in advance. From where I was I couldn't see the bird that was chirping, and even though I took a couple of shots I couldn't locate it

Among the branches I could see a "wood pigeon":  I have learned that it is a species that is always in pairs, but something curious has been happening for several weeks now: it turns out that they fly back and forth together, but when they descend each one chooses a different place to be. Could it be possible that birds also argue like people? And be the reason for being in the separate tree

We are anxiously waiting for the good ones ¨omens¨: since we received another visit from a beautiful ¨hummingbird¨: or that's what they say when these beautiful birds visit your home, although we are ¨superstitious¨ because of the beliefs of our ancestors, I don't remember anything extraordinary happening after the visits of these beauties

Seeing the ¨hummingbird¨: perched very calmly on the tree branch I couldn't believe it, and since I was prepared with our ¨nikoncoolpixb500¨ camera in my hands I could take beautiful photographs to participate in this great ¨Show Me A Photo Contest¨:

Awesome pictures @jlufer, did you know there are studies of bird omens going way back in history one such practice, is the Creco-Roman religious practice called Augury?

Anyways a bit of fun knowledge.

Have the best day

They use to observe the behaviour of birds to predict the future.
Also they use to use bird omens to know if the gods were being favourable or not.
It was well practiced at the time sometimes mixed with other practices through-out the Roman Empire, cyprus and egypt.

You are welcome @jlufer
Have the best day

I love spending time in the backyard watching birds. I loved it when the hummingbird landed for you in the tree.

What beautiful photographs!

Birds are so wonderful, and how difficult it is often to photograph them, both because of the movement, especially of the hummingbird, and because of the distance, but patience and waiting pays off. you have taken some very nice pictures.

On the other hand I don't know if birds fight each other, I know that many of them, like swans or flamingos, are monogamous. But in the case of the wood pigeon I don't know. I hope they reconcile.

The hummingbird is beautiful, it reminded me of how many were flying in my garden near me while I was watering the plants. Beautiful publication! A big hug!

We've been birdwatching for years. If you saw the first photographs we took, you'd see how our patience paid off.

Wood pigeons are also monogamous; perhaps that's the reason for their behavior.

I'm not surprised to learn that hummingbirds have brought back wonderful memories of your garden.

Thank you so much for appreciating and supporting my post; you're very kind.

There are many wood pigeons here too. They are pretty big compared to the other pigeons.
Nice photos, as always. 🙂

It's great to know that this type of pigeon is also found there.

It's true, they're really big.

Thank you so much, dear friend @nelinoeva, for the great support you always give me.

Have a wonderful weekend.
