My Entry to the Feathered Friends - Show Me A Photo Contest - Round 252

The snow has melted now, but the village ponds are still mostly frozen over. There is just a part of the pond that the birds are congregating together to keep the water from freezing up. The gulls were all there as well as the coots. The swans have defected to another pond somewhere. As food is a bit scarce I took some bread down to the birds.

This is my entry to the @featheredfriends - Show Me A Photo Contest Round 252. Theme: Birds and Food.

Once I threw the bread into the water, it was a free for all. The gulls dive bombed to get at the food. I made sure the coots had some as well.

It has forecast more snow tonight so I will pop back to feed the birds if the temperature gets very low.
