Walking through a day filled with anguish and trouble, seeing a peaceful bird with its beautiful yellow color, posing peacefully, is like a sip of water in the desert, allowing one to remember the beauty in such a small soul.

What you see in the image is a Roof Canary (Sicalis flaveola), which is very common and representative of the city of Caracas, Venezuela.

The adult male is distinguished by its bright, vivid yellow plumage, while the female has a darker, duller yellow color. It is frequently seen on rooftops, parks, and suburban areas, perfectly adapted to life in the capital.

Its diet is mainly based on plant seeds and weeds. Along with other birds, it's a symbol of nature that still persists and thrives in Caracas's urban environment. It's a very nervous bird, making it very difficult to get close to, so even with a cell phone camera that doesn't have a good zoom, you can't get close-up photos. However, even from the distance that allowed for a photo, its beauty can be appreciated.

Caminando en un dia con angustia y problemas, siempre ver un ave apasible con su bello color amarillo, posando apasible, es como un sorbo de agua en el desierto, que permite recordar la belleza en un alma tan pequeña.

Lo que se ve en la imagen es un Canario de Tejado (Sicalis flaveola) que es muy común y representativo de la ciudad de Caracas, Venezuela.

El macho adulto se distingue por su plumaje amarillo brillante y vivo mientras que la hembra tiene un color amarillo mas oscuro y opaco Es frecuente verlo en tejados, parques y áreas suburbanas, adaptado perfectamente a la vida en la capital.

Su alimentación se basa principalmente en semillas de plantas y malezas. Junto con otras aves, es un símbolo de la naturaleza que aún persiste y prospera en el ambiente urbano caraqueño. Es un ave muy nerviosa por lo que es muy dificil acercarse, así que con una cámara de celular que no tenga tan buen zoon no se pueden tener fotos tan cercanas, sin embargo aun en la lejanía que permitió sacarse una foto se aprecia su belleza.
