A Slightly More Empty House
Somehow, I think I always knew that this would be the picture I used.
She was a good dog. A silly dog. An old dog. A loved dog that I raised from an 8 week old puppy from the SPCA.
I'm not much in the mood to talk today, so I'm likely not going to. Took her to the vet this morning knowing what the outcome would be. I didn't even check into work.
I'm devastated, I'm heartbroken, and I think I'm going to go bawl now.

She would chase leaves in the autumn and play on the playground equipment with the kids - she loved the slide, and then would go for a swim in the creek.
Glad you enjoyed the sentiment at this sorrowful time. It hit home when I first read it after I lost my beloved Cocker Spaniel in 2019. I saved the quote to help other humans when they lose their furbabies.💔

Thank you! She'd always greet me when I'd come in the door, or poke her head into the kitchen looking for snacks. You know it's a pain that doesn't easily go away.

Dear Victor how sad that we both had to say goodbye to the beautiful black beauty’s this week. I am amputated. The kids devistated and the house is not the same. Joey lost his big brother and is not eating. This week has been awful. And the thought of getting his ashes tomorrow kills me.
So i know what your re going through.

I'm still looking for the dog when I glance in the backyard. Alas. They were good doggies, and had a good life! They were happy, and that's important.

Oh my gosh.. I am so sorry for your loss. I just wrote the same post yesterday. We had to put our Molly down 5 days ago.. so I feel your sadness, emptiness, and utter heart break. I'll be thinking of you and your family as I am challenged with navigating the same quiet home. ugggg. 😭
