The Silver Bloggers Chronicles #14. Important people
Throughout my life, I have been able to count on the help of people who have had a decisive influence on the actions I have taken.
First and foremost, I must mention my parents. From my father, I learned everything about responsibility and caring for the family. My father always made sure we had everything we needed, and when he left us to start another family, he continued to do so, ensuring that both his new children and us had the care we needed.
My mother has always been a great example of tenacity. Her message, although not explicit, can be summed up in one sentence: with patience and perseverance, anything can be achieved. I have always seen her as a woman determined to better herself and not let adversity defeat her. Every time life has brought her to her knees, she has found the will to get back up again and continue on the path she has carved out for herself.
During my teenage years, I was very close to a young man who also had a great influence on my life. He introduced me to the world of politics and rock music. In my conversations with him, I became aware of the importance of getting involved in the problems of society.
But the most important influence in my life came when I was in my thirties. At that time, I met a Catholic priest who changed all my convictions. Not only did he allow me to rediscover the spiritual path, but he also deeply motivated me to learn about the roots of my country's culture. With him and another group of friends, we formed a study and research center where we were able to do some good academic work.

That contact with Alejandro, as that dear priest was called, completely changed the way I related to the world.
From the world of literature, one of the characters I most admire is Don Quixote. I read Don Quixote for the first time in high school. At that time, I was amazed by his adventures. There was something about the character that caught my attention, but in those years I wasn't sure what it was.
Later, as time went by, and after reading that excellent work again, I realized that what I liked about Don Quixote was his dreamy spirit, his ability to invent fantasies.
I felt that Don Quixote's personality was very similar to mine. I have also been a dreamer throughout my life, and I also love to create fantasies in my head, especially in relation to people. I meet someone and immediately form an idea of what they might be like. I place a lot of value on that first impression, and then, of course, I become disillusioned just as easily, because it takes much more than a first impression to get to know someone.
Another important figure in the world of culture is Steven Spielberg. Of all the films he has produced, my favorite is Close Encounters of the Third Kind. I have always found outer space fascinating.

I believe that in such a vast universe there must be other species that may have developed their own ways of life, and coming into contact with them must be a fascinating experience, as depicted in the film I mentioned. The truth is that I would love to make contact with a being from another galaxy.
I am posting this motivated by the initiative proposed by my friends in the @silverbloggers community. To learn more about it, click on the following link..
