Liverpool gets smoked in Europa League.

Liverpool have a very big test in tonight's Europa League fixture. They had all the opportunity to get themselves in a really good position during the first leg of the fixture that was played a week ago in Liverpool. However, Liverpool messed that up and got into a 3-goal deficit against Atalanta.

For most teams, this stage of the tournament would have been considered done and dusted. However, just because this is Liverpool and we know their comeback record in European fixtures, a lot of people are ready to give them benefit of doubt as they step into a game where they have to score at least 3 goals without conceding any.

Let's get into the games already...

Trent is back and Trent started this game with his spicy passes. He laid a cross inside the opponent's box and it came in contact with the hand of a defender who's inside the box. A penalty was awarded for that. Salah stepped up, scored and the tempo became higher.

Liverpool bossed the rest of the first half and created really good chances. They couldn't score an additional goal in this half though. Salah even wasted a clear 1v1 goalscoring opportunity. It was awful to see that in a game we need as many goals as we can get. Well, we managed to get 1 and need at least 2 goals in the second half without conceding any.

Second Half...

The second half of this game is one of the most boring halves of football that I've seen this year. It's such a sore sight to behold. The entire performance by Liverpool in that half was annoying and a big disaster. They had only one good chance and Salah unsurprisingly bottled that goalscoring opportunity. It was a big mess.

We tried all the tricks with our substitution, but nothing worked. So, Liverpool literally got knocked out of the Europa League by Atalanta. And that ends our European adventure this season. All that's left to fight for is the English Premier League.
