Friday the 13th

Friday the 13th.

A harbinger of bad luck, or an unlucky day, as some people's superstition refers to it. And whilst she does not believe in it nor have anything against it, today (June 13th, the first and only Friday the 13th of 2025) seems to be proving it is one unfortunate Friday the 13th for many reasons (she could not bring herself to mention them here and now, maybe someday).

But as the adage goes, everything is temporary, and she has faith that these will pass in their perfect time, too.

The rain is pouring, and for the first time in a long time, she is loving it. She is not feeling low or dejected about it coming early in the day.

She is welcoming it where they are, allowing it to drown the tears, the heartache, the sorrow, the frustrations, the worries, the stresses or strains of life, and such. She is letting the rainwater carry them as far away as possible, not into other people's homes or doorsteps, but to the depths of the Pacific Ocean, or the hidden corners of the vast seas, and she prays that there they would be lost forever.🙏

Well, the truth is, today isn't as unfortunate as she was starting to believe earlier. Thanks to someone who knocked on her door just when she was about to let her thoughts wander away. Surprisingly, she happily invited the visitor in, unlike before, where she usually pretended not to be around.

It turned out that the guest wanted to open up about something he had been bottling up for a while. They talked. Setting aside her own ordeal, she listened more intently, sincerely, and empathetically.

In the end, she feels better and more grateful. She's happy to have touched a soul in her own little way. Our burdens become lighter indeed when we help carry someone else's, even for a day or an hour.

Yes, her heart is blissful!

Nothing helps to forget about your own worries than helping someone else deal with theirs.

Truth. But sometimes we get so caught up in our own predicaments that we neglect to aid others in theirs.

This is so beautiful. It’s amazing how helping someone else can lift our own hearts too. I love how you described the rain washing everything away. A lovely reminder that even on hard days, kindness makes a difference

Sometimes healing comes from where we least expect it, just one sincere human moment can ease the heavy in the heart.

Oh well, I never believe in this kind of superstition but I grew up in my Grandma's home, so every superstition they believe should be complied with. One of those, as your title mentioned is the Friday the 13th, I wasn't even permitted to go out during this day because they fear that there might something bad to happen and it's better to be safe at home.

Anyway, I have no idea what you are going through right now, but I hope you will be fine soon. God bless, Ate. ♥♥♥

As long as she is happy, other things doesn't matter in my opinion.
I also heard that 13th is unlucky but I didn't find any valid reason to believe it. So, I don't pay attention on it.
