Friday's Drive and Lunch at the Casa

We went to visit three greenhouse farms on Friday. Although we had already paid, our previous supplier failed to provide the quantity of seedlings needed for the farms, so we had to find another. But first, we visited my cousin because the hubby wanted to see and ask about his new toy. Then from there, we dropped by one of the seedling farms nearby.

Well, everything in their greenhouses was already reserved, so we moved to the next. Like the first, all the potted seedlings were ordered. We were hungry, so we drove past the third farm, thinking we would check it out after we had lunch. We headed to the Casa, which was just a kilometer away.

Lucky us, the place was empty (they didn't have any customers) when we arrived. We thought of going up the balcony on the diner's top floor, but since we were the only diners, we took the corner table on the ground floor instead.

The place is cozy and quiet. They are playing soft country music in the background. Country vibes are also seen on the walls. Look at those cowboy hats!

I was amused to see this note. It's a nice reminder for diners to put their phones (gadgets) down and be present. I assumed some of their customers may have been asking if they had WiFi, hence the notice on the wall, lol!

Meanwhile, our little boy was quiet in his chair. We already had our orders and were waiting.

I was really hungry, so my first choice was the house's specialty dish. It usually is quick to prepare. Corazon rice set for me, and although the hubby was craving another (it took him a while to make up his mind), he ended up opting for the Perez set and a cup of Macchiato because he was starving too.

This was mine. Garlic rice, veggies, lumpiang shanghai, and 2 pieces of fried chicken. The set came with a bowl of tasty soup, which reminded me of a bird's nest soup.

Of course, the LilGuy had his own. All his favorite things - potatoes, beans, and chicken, so he had no complaints, lol! Dada was giving him a piece of meat in this pic.

We quietly enjoyed our meal, and while we were taking a wee rest, a couple with their little boy came in and took the round table next to us. Thanking the host, we left the place five minutes later. We drove back to the third farm. While they had cabbage seedlings, they were not yet mature.

They recommended the one by the mountainside, so we went there. Luckily, they had some available and were willing to cater to our needed quantity.

The hubby went to check, while we stayed in the car. The LilGuy spent some time peeking in the window, observing things outside.

We left soon after confirming our orders and making payment. We still had a long drive ahead of us. And oh yeah, we did pullover on the roadside for a short break, where I hunted some of the reflections I shared previously.

Yes, that's one thing we appreciate about the place. Not many are like that. Even fast food chains do not allow pets,

That's great to know :) He is a 2-year-old Havashu

I'd very much like to pretend it's 1995 at a setting like that. It still kind of bothers me to this day to observe people going back at forth between being on their smartphone and eating a meal lol. Lil Guy is the star of the day :)

The place is quite good and peaceful. I would love to visit there for lunch in such a situation.
No wifi sign board was cool.

It is. The view from the balcony is amazing too. I've shared about the place 2 years ago I think😅

That sign is cool indeed.

Sounds like a full and productive day! 🌱The Casa sounds so peaceful and a perfect spot for a meal before the long drive. The LilGuy must've enjoyed his meal too, I just love to see him.

Yes, this time we needed 50k seedlings. Supermarkets here don't sell them.

This is him eating😅
