Retirement, a word every working adult must have associated with himself / herself at least once.
The word that link us to not working and having all the time in the world to ourselves to indulge in our hobbies, interest or whatever way we want to spend our time on.

But the truth in today's world, the way I see it at least is we might never retire, why? let me explain it.

Now in most developed economies, or probably many developing nation, inflation and stagnant wages are a real thing, family sizes are getting smaller where 1 or 2 kids are the norm, thus with it means shrinking population everywhere, even China, the world most populated country is seeing a shrinking population, but as all economies are chasing growth, people need to be working and moving the economy to achieve this, thus retirement become a real difficult thing to achieve as all government has to find way to keep the workforce large enough.

Secondly, as inflation hit home, it means the value of our $ is reducing, thus to be able to afford a "comfortable" lifestyle in our own definition, we never know how much is enough, thus we most likely would have to keep oneself employed with some income, passive or not thus we would still have to "sell some of our time and labour" even in retirement.

Thus, we might be a population / generation that never retires.
