It's Polls Day [VotePH25]
Oh la la! It's Monday, and it's election day in the country. So later in the afternoon, we will head to the other town's polls to do our part, and (hopefully) choose those who truly deserve the seats in the senate, down to the local government units.
Undeniably, many are clamoring for change - good governance, for corruption to end, better infrastructure and facilities, etc. After reading some articles and comments via the husband's SocMed account, I sat quietly, wondering if we could experience a corruption-free government in this lifetime. Maybe... Hopefully...

Only time will tell, they say...
If in the next 3 years, we will see and have at least most of what we want from our government, then kudos to us for collectively making the right choices. If not, oh well, life would not end there, or would it? We shall have another shot, yeah?
The noise, controversies, allegations, and such will not end soon. They will surely linger on for some time, and it's okay. It's just crazy how some people allow politics to ruin their relationships. Neighbors, families, and friends are turning against one another because of differing opinions about this candidate and that. Such is not okay (at least for me). So I only hope they can still patch things up after this.
On the other hand, I admire open-minded people who respect and value others' choices and don't force their own. They are those who can still see each other eye to eye and genuinely smile, keep their relationships warm and true, without harboring any untoward feelings because the other person is supporting this or that.
My Dad's congressman may be different from mine, or my brother's mayor. My sister's chosen senators or my husband's board members are not on my list, but we're still family. My best friend's governor is not who I'm rooting for, but we are still BFF. I'm not voting for my neighbor's councilors, but we are not throwing hurtful words at each other.
Because at the end of the day, having a good relationship with one's neighbors, family, or friends matters, and whoever wins will become everyone's governor, mayor, or such. Or is it not?
And I pray for a peaceful and just election.🙏

Some people say, if voting made a difference they wouldn't let you... It is possibly true, in the end of the day no matter who wins, nothing changes... Always keep politics out of discussions 🤣 which candidates you have? I mean socialist, nationalist and such?
This! I don't know what else to say 😁 It's just crazy how people create controversies upon themselves because they are loud about their opinions.
I think I should not say anything when it comes to politics because I don't think there is going to change anything doesn't matter who own. I can't think positively when it comes to politics. I don't know well about the politics of your county but in my country there is no way to believe in politician.

Good thing to do, Inti. It's best to stay mum instead of getting into debates or such because of politics😅

Well I will there's no corruption free government but there can be fair government who are a bit considerable than others
That's true. There are good people, even in the midst of dirty politics.
I also wish for a free corruption government. Hay, Ewan Lang Kung mangyayari. Sana😬.
Sana, sis. Hoping hoping na lang tayo :)
I also pray for a peaceful and just elected
We have had just one peaceful and just election here in Nigeria but it was eventually rigged…
Thank you. It was generally peaceful.
It's sad when we think things are okay, and the opposite happens.
