Can nations become a DAO
A DAO is a decentralized organization, very similar to a collective or a cooperative, except that it is created on a smart contract.
A DAO does not have any central governing authority, only the members share a common goal to act in the best interest of the community.
DAOs are built on smart contracts and blockchain technology, which enables transparent and democratic decision making.
Benefits of DAO model if applied to a nation:
It promotes democracy, by allowing every citizen to have a voice and a stake in the nation.
It could reduce corruption and bureaucracy by eliminating intermediaries and middlemen who may abuse their power.
It could foster innovation and collaboration by enabling citizens to fund and collaborate on projects that fund the common good.
It could enhance efficiency and accountability by automating processes and enforcing rules through smart contract that execute on blockchain.
Thus we can say with a degree of certainty that nations can be converted into DAOs.

I guess this is possible albeit not immediately probable. What we need is details and we would also need to consider what it would take to successfully adopt this DAO idea.
It cannot be done instantaneously or it may need to be applied slowly geographically or in stages.
At this stage the best I can wish for is for government to use blockchain technology for all transfer of funding so the history of the fund allocation can be imprinted on the chain and that this would remove the possibility of corruption.
