My Crownrend Journey - Social Media Event Entry
On January 17th I paid the $20 worth of $HIVE to start my journey! Which was 19.582 Hive at that point in time.
I won't go over my initial Kingdom build out as I have written 7 Crownrend articles already and it's all touched on in detail in those articles..

Day 2 - Crownrend is a modern day DarkThrone (January 18th, 2025)

But this article today is being written for inclusion into the Official "Crownrend Social Media Event and Giveaway". Which you can find here: https://peakd.com/crownrend/@crownrend/crownrend-social-media-event-and-giveaway
The short version is the Crownrend wants people to blog about the game and their experiences and share it across Social Media. You know to get the word out and such. In the Event they list out a few key points to touch on which are:
- How did you start this journey?
- Where did you see the Crownrend game, in the announcement post? In a friend's post or somewhere else?
- What is your favorite and least favorite thing about Crownrend?
- What is your goal for your kingdom?
So we are going to do just that but also expand a bit because it wouldn't be a Cherokee4Life post unless I went off on tangents and babbled along over explaining everything.
Well I started this journey by reading post after post after post about this cool new game call Crownrend on Hive. The problem I had then was that I didn't have enough Liquid Hive to pay the $20 cost of the game. So I had to wait and wait and keep saving up my bits of Hive until I had enough to start playing.
But truth be told my journey started LONG before that. Back in in 2010's I played a game in a web browser called "Dark Throne".
This is what Dark Throne used to look like:
The original game as I knew it is no longer hosted and so since gone. But there is it's spiritual successor alive and well but different looking. Here it is
I loved playing Dark Throne because it was strategy but also a little lower paced than normal games at that time. So it was perfect for me. And honestly... it still is! When I was reading articles about Crownrend I knew I would love it because it honestly looked to me like the spiritual successor of Dark Throne that is the web3 version we deserved!
Now tell me there don't look similiar?
There see, I did it again. I went off on a tangent in the first section and already explained section 2 away.
If I remember correctly Crownrend was launched on January 10th, 2025 and I didn't buy in until January 17th. So I was here on the Hive blockchain reading article after article about people playing Crownrend for a whole week until I was able to play myself.
In the long run I think it was for the better as it really made me dig deep and read through all the posts about it learn more about so I could live vicariously through you all.
Because of that I was able to hit the ground running and learn from the mistakes of people who had been playing for a week already. Which was nice.. so thanks guys 😁
Ooof this is going to be tricky, and so because of that I am not going to pick just 1 for each category because again.... tangents and all that 😆 Let's start with my Least Favorite parts about Crownrend because it's better to end on a high note then a sour note!
I wish there was an actual Community on Hive for Crownrend. I know it's nitpicky but hey.. I guy wants what he wants right?
So this one is awkward because I was going to say how I wish there was more to do within Crownrend besides attacking and levelling up. But... then I started my own Alliance and realized there are wars that happen. And I realized how cheap DENAR was so I bought way too many and then bought way too many chests and burn items for Ori and now I feel like an entirely new area of Crownrend has been opened up to me.
I do with there was a in-game Alliance Chat... that would be nice.
There doesn't seem to be a ceiling and a place where you get stuck and it drags on. I thought for sure Crownrend would have a place where after a few days or weeks you wouldn't be earning enough Denar to keep upgrading buildings to not go into 'unrest' and you would kind of be forced to buy Denar to supplement that.
Maybe I just bought Denar before this could have happened but for me the price of Denar was stupid cheap so I couldn't pass it up.
But basically I love the game and as things get added to expand the gameplay I think this game is only going to go up and up.
Obviously the goal is to keep levelling up more and more. What fun is there is being a low level crappy tier player? You want to be the best... the best that ever was
And because of that I know a lot of that will come with building a high quality Alliance. I already accepted 1 member into my Alliance (a random person who sent a invite.. I see you @vempromundo). But I need to add more players as well. I am even okay with helping those players level up. So if you are reading this and you do not have a Alliance right now but you are a active player who claims at least twice each day... Call me. We can work something out ;)
One day.. I will look upon the landscape of Crownrend and feel like Charizard to Chikorita in pokemon....
One day... but not today haha
My Kingdom Power is 445.04
My Rank is #151
My Alliance as it stands today:
Currently just 2 boosts but plans to expand as I get more members and earn more Crowns.
There are 37 Alliance currently at the time of writing and I am currently ranked... 35th. So not great lol
I started the game early on (week after it launched) and out of the 1,947 players I am ranked #151. (ohh 151.. like the original 151 Pokemon... coincidence? I think NOT!).
My Alliance is ranked #35 out of #37 which is trash.
But this game is fun, it doesn't take up a bunch of your time throughout the day but there is still strategy to it to keep improving and grinding. With the addition of more things for Alliances to do the game is keeps adding reasons to play and level up. I do wish they add things for every player, even those not in Alliances but that may come later.
If you haven't started Crownrend yet and are thinking about it.. Give it a go. There is a $20 Account Creation Fee that every player has to pay but after that there is no micro transactions or anything like that. Just play to earn $Denar and build your Kingdom up to destroy your enemies (or friends... no judgement here haha).

IF (and only IF) you want to support me you can join via this link so I get a little kickback but doesn't cost you a penny to use it. https://crownrend.com/?ref=UJMBLR2CUDRIA
I like your markdown with the cool looking headers man! 👍 nerd things that most overlook probably but yeah, I like these things and cool thumbnails 😀
For an unknown game I think the $20 entry is pretty steep... maybe I'll hop in to later when Freecash is doing good things for me. Dcrops is a real slow going game so it's not time consuming
well you know if you ever start playing, I got a spot in my Alliance for you :)
And yeah the $20 is steep but I have learned on Hive especially, paying the steep entrance fee usually means a decently made game with a decent way to monetize your time within the game.
O I would def. join your alliance mate!
Hey boss, cool, we're in this together. Thanks for accepting me into the alliance, the Strength and Toughness bonuses are very important and help a lot. Yesterday I opened dozens of chests, and I believe that now I can establish myself at least in the top 200 (I'm currently in 212).
I saw that there are some vacancies available in the alliance and I invited some friends to join, there are the Brazilians @michupa, @dreloop07 and @lincemarrom who are not in an alliance yet.
I don't believe that we will recover the initial investment with DENAR alone, or at least we will have to wait a long time to be able to accumulate enough to break even on the balance spent, since the price has dropped considerably. But the game is still fun, I like this type of game with a time window for activities.
tem vaga fera, também estou lá
