A friend of mine from SoMee had a bad experience on Hive
Those of you that have seen my posts are indeed aware that i have been purchasing and staking many different projects on Hive, and have been participating in their communities. I have been doing quite well with relationships on Hive, and my reputation has been thriving lately. However, not the same can be said about my SoMeean friend @madam-ak.
A swarm of Hiveans have teamed up to downvote her content, and her reputation has dropped from close to 50 to -1 overnight. I have checked her posts and they are sourced, so it couldn't be that a plagiarism rule was violated. In fact, i couldn't detect any Hive rules having been violated by anything @madam-ak posted. I can see where some people may not have liked the subjects she posted about. Those that didn't like the subjects have the rights to downvote them. Now, that affecting her reputation, as if she is guilty of breaking rules is wrong. It is enough in my opinion that her posts lose value with downvotes. But her reputation falling from close to 50 to below 0 overnight because some in the community do not like her content makes no sense.
I feel she is being treated as a rule breaker which is not right. If any of those people that participated in downvoting her knew the kind of person she is, they would never have done this. They would instead have told her in the comment section what is acceptable to the Community and what isn't. @madam-ak does heed to advice and she is very teachable/coachable. Had she been warned that the Hive Community didn't appreciate certain content, she would have refrained from posting that kind of content.
@madam-ak was a SoMee Employee and she compiles SoMee's monthly AMA summaries till this day, which successfully covers all key points in one post for those that missed the AMA, which i am always guilty of since i never have time to sit and watch the monthly AMAs. She is a very valued Community member for the SoMee tribe. I have recently taught her what i learned on Hive. I have taught her how to navigate Hive. She has shown interest in diversifying to other tribes and buying their tokens. I have shown her where to buy those assests and how to do it. As you can see on the Screenshot I've shared, she is now a top holder of CENTG. She has really been enjoying Hive lately until this has happened to her all of a sudden. I'd like to know if there is a way Hive can remedy this problem with her reputation, as she is a very valuable user and knowing her fully well, her intentions were never to abuse the system, if that is indeed how some people may have felt. To those that took adverse actions against her. I suggest you get to know her. She is a wonderful and extremely intelligent human being. You will find out that she heeds to advice and she will do what is correct and pleasing to the Community. If she does not know right from wrong on Hive. Then it is obvious that her content is going to come under attack.
My content also came under attack. Once i learned the little i currently know. I put it into practice, and i have never had anymore problems on Hive since. Everytime someone in the communtiy calls me out for something they feel is wrong. I refrain from doing it. I just wish @madam-ak was given the same opportunity as i. I could have easily ended up like her!
Wow, it sounds so weird to attack a member here. I hope she will not leave hive.
I am trying to persuade her into staying. I hope she does not leave neither.
Every single video and image posted is sourced and where the source is unable to be found, it is mentioned source unknown and appreciation is given to the original creator to a) appreciate their efforts b) to declare and clarify the image or video was originally created by someone else - so that the credibility is not taken away yet stating that it's worth the share to the Community as a whole.
On the other hand, where there is a video or image created or clicked by me, it is name stamped as a) a declaration that I am the original video/image creator to the Community b) if anyone tries to steal my image or video without prior permission given by me, it's a clear indication that the true original owner of those images and videos are owned and created by me.
I enjoy posting like anyone else but malicious downvoting to silence and mute without reasoning and providing the intent of such behaviour is very unethical.

Was the group HiveWatchers or was it an independent group?
Downvote campaigns should always include messages about the reason for the downvote. Downvote campaigns should end if the HIVE author corrects the problem.
I checked and didn't see any comments at all. No Hive Watchers were involved neither. Only one guy participated in the comment section and it was only for the purpose of telling her she needed her brain checked and insulting her.
You can check right here if you have some time: https://somee.blog/@madam-ak/
I may have missed something.
those are some nasty comments ward 🤯though she is a drama 🎭 queen 👑 i sympathies with her on this one ☝️ help her out 🤝
@iqraali88 I would appreciate you be considerate with your choice of words. You don't really know me nor about my life to state a statement like that. There is alot I have gone through from bereavements to lifes painful experiences. When you don't know a person personally nor had enough interactions with them, insensitive, sarcastic and demeaning comments makes the matter worse when the person is dealing or going through more than you know or disclosed. So if you were blocked, after months of toleration, that should help for you to refrain and stop.
Although I appreciate your statement for Ward to help in this matter, I would also going forward appreciate your understanding in being more particular of how you approach people you don't really know. Respecting people's emotions and personal space is maybe something learned over time but important. Thanks
For years all content images and videos are sourced which is the main hive requirement. If there are any other rules, this needs to be informed to the user and addressed

they r a bit harsh on u probbly n i think its ovrrreaction but u make mistakes and say sorry 😿 then everything will b better😺 u block me cuz i call u out n dwnvote me n block me when i m trying to help u💁🏻♀️
I can't speak for them but I do have a hypothesis on maybe why all the downvotes are happening. If I had to guess based on what I see in the account it's because @madam-ak uses the #leofinance tag often in posts when the posts have nothing to do with content relevant to the Leofinance community.
Maybe I am wrong but that wouldn't be the first time I've seen that happen. It's terrible that there is no explanation or warning.
Alternative possibility: It might be just one person downvoting with a trail that follows the account that automatically downvotes based on the one account. I think the overuse of the #leofiance tag on unrelated content is more likely though.
Thank you so much Holovision, i will tell her about using the Leofinance tag. Is there something we can do, or someone we can speak to that can correct her account's reputation score?

Being a decentralized blockchain means that there is no central Hive authority to "speak to".
It is not impossible to go from a negative score back to a positive score. I just upvoted all of @madam-ak's posts from the last week and it looks like that took the reputation score up 0.02 points. A few whale votes would bring the reputation score back to a 1. The problem is another single whale downvote can erase all the progress made by smaller account votes.
The easiest and quickest solution I know of is @madam-ak can start another account on Hive. When new accounts are created they begin with a reputation score of 25. Short of creating a new account @madam-ak would have to avoid more downvotes and work to get from -1 back to the 25 score the account started from.
Yeah, i figured that was the only solution.
I saw the reply from @iqraali88 to your post after my last reply. HiveWatchers did blacklist @madam-ak's account at the end of December last year. Rehabilitating that account back to a positive score seems unlikely based on that.
@Holovision thank you for your response.
While this could be a possibility
a) This should be mentioned in the comments to inform the user before hand. Information on the tribe and what it entails, what content is supported and is in line with Leo Finances terms. However this wasn't the case
b) Leo Finance has been recently added as a tag to contents posted. The gang of downvote spree has been happening prior to their tag being added, so that rules the chances of being the case
Unfortunately, it is not just one person downvoting with a trail. It's the same 4 users and over night a gang of users who went on all the posts to downvote maliciously with no supported comment to justify or inform.
Creating another account is not a solution in combating such malicious behavior. Infact it encourages circle downvoting without reasoning to continue.
Thank you so much for your upvotes and support in helping to increase the reputation score.

My guess was based on trying to put myself in the mindset of who was downvoting you and assume they were rational and had a reason. That was my best hypothesis based on that assumption and it could be wrong as many hypotheses turn out to be.
Yes, "should be mentioned" would be preferred but it's not a law or requirement. I just saw @iqraali88's reply a few minutes ago to this post and that would be just as likely a hypothesis. The fact that HiveWatchers stated in a follow up reply that your account has been blacklisted should have been a clue to you. There was little chance that @traciyork would know that you were the admin of a community you copied from because you never quoted, attributed, or gave an indication but nonetheless the content posted was recycled and in my opinion that seems legitimate.
Sorry I can't be more on your side but I have to go with the evidence and the nature of what the Hive blockchain is. Maybe you should have been given more explicit warning but I can also understand why someone would think that your account had been around long enough to have known better and didn't cut you the same slack that they would have for a new member.
Thanks for tagging me, @holovision as I would've missed this conversation otherwise.
It's been a minute, but from what I can tell from a quick scan through posts, my first interaction with @madam-ak happened on December 27th, 2022 where I explained to her that reposting essential the exact same thing multiple times is unexceptionable on Hive (and pointed out she'd been given that info in a comment under her very first post here) -
https://peakd.com/someeofficial/@traciyork/re-madam-ak-rnkfjr
The next day, after she doubled down, I replied and issued the first of three downvotes on her post -
https://peakd.com/someeofficial/@traciyork/re-madam-ak-rnlp2d
That same day, I also downvoted two additional posts, also with comments as to why -
https://peakd.com/someeofficial/@madam-ak/awesme-tutorials-has-been-created-to-help-and-assist-our-community-members-if-you-are-un-675033
https://peakd.com/someeofficial/@madam-ak/words-from-the-somee-ceo-it-039-s-all-coming-together-brick-by-brick-where-ma-674604
As far as I can tell, that was my final interaction with her, and I have no idea (although I can guess, given she is still on the HiveWatchers blacklist) why others in the community have been downvoting her content as of late.
EDITED TO ADD: I just discovered this as well - a post around that same time where she cropped an IStock photo to remove the watermark and passed it off as her own.
https://peakd.com/@madam-ak/day-4-of-tagmee-challenge-by-jed-upsidedown-reflection-natureatitsbest-634064
Thanks for the additional information.
It sucks that peakd is not allowing me to see her content there because of her low reputation points. I'll have to find another way to see it.
Is there however anyway that she can be removed from the Hive Watcher's Blacklist? I am sure she made some mistakes as you pointed out and you called her out on it. However, those that come to Hive do not come with a manual. We learn here from trial and error. At least i did. And i am still learning. I'd like this to be resolved for her, and for her to be able to start on a clean slate..

@greywarden100, when I use peakd (on laptop, not mobile, which I'm not sure makes a difference) I can see hidden content by clicking the "Display post" link as shown below...
Same goes for her comments, as the message is the same.
As far as the blacklist, Hive Watchers left her instructions on what to do back in December, but it doesn't seem like she attempted to appeal. At this point, I'm not sure what's to be done unless she decides to try the appeal process now.
@traciyork
I wanted to thank you and @holovision for the time you spent trying to explain the transgressions of @madam-ak.
I really appreciate that you took the time to leave comments on the account to explaining the downvotes.
I have encountered a few downvote campaigns where I could not find an explanation for the downvotes.
The time it takes to explain a downvote campaign is always appreciated. Keep up the good work!
!WINE
I did inform @traciyork I have been made an admin to the blog I was writing for yet she started going on an unfair downvote spree on all posts to erase the weeks earnings and continued to do so for weeks. When explained that many community members appreciate my educational somee content, she brought a hang of hivers creating a downvote campaign to counter my point in retaliation with a malicious and unfair continued downvote.
In addition, I also explained that in my content it includes a 'hyper link' of the Awesme Tutorial website link where when included in the post is probably creating an image link after the post is published (which was a somee.social bug at the time as it was under development and with many bugs and issues as it was a fairly new platform created) that made it seem like the same image, when all it was is this below hyper link that allows users to visit the somee educational site:
Contacting us on: https://awesme.blog/contact-us/
Also to add, during the time, I dis not know who hivewatchers were. I thought it was a community member using the hive name as their user name and just unfairly attacking with downvotes without fair explanation
It's very important to understand, that we may belong to different platform tribes but belong to the same Social Community. Understanding is vital and what may seem wrong may not exactly be.
The website bugs and lack of consideration of my Admin role for both Awesme Tutorials somee.social site and SoMee project should have been taken into account. Nevertheless, I really appreciate everyone's participation in resolving this to get my account reinstated and more importantly grateful to @greywarden100 for his support and concern.
Nope. I downvoted your posts three times back in December 2022, and each time with an explanation. I have no idea why you think that months after that, I'd launch some sort of "downvote campaign" on your account, but whatever the reason for the downvotes are, they have nothing to do with me.
You were also directed to a post by Hive Watchers & what they do for the community in the comment section of your intro post (along with other helpful links with info about the Hive community), but if you want to continue to claim that no one has explained anything to you, that's your prerogative.
Best if luck to you.
You stated "but I can assure you that I don't downvote in retaliation" when you clearly did after informing that the community appreciate my ama posts and that is evident in the upvotes and the upvotes given on my clarification statement, to which your retaliation was on further downvoting and a storm of downvoting campaign straight after.
This is in response to your non retaliation statement during that time.
Where the present malicious downvote is concerned, I have not even suggested you have for you to assume or accuse. You brought the previous incident up, and the reply is in response so that things are very clear. The hyper link issue, your retaliation and to clarify to the Community that you were informed of my given Admin role which they thought you were possibly uninformed.
Regarding any useful links shared wouldn't have been clicked as advice goes to never click on links that can lead to high risk of getting scammed and cause data to be compromised. Secondly, at somee we were encouraged to only use and require to only use somee.social. So other platforms were not used. Even ecency has been very recently joined and used, a few month prior somee.blog which again we were discouraged to use as somee.social was our main one stop shop platform.
Anyway, the main issue raised and condemned is unfair downvote campaigns in general which also various tribes disapprove including the hive community itself as even seen in this post comments.
You were tagged in I guess for clarification, not because I brought your name up for anything to suggest you are responsible for the rest events. You gave your side of the statement and reasoning and I gave mine and clarified the unknown facts. So no, I do not think nor is it wise for you to accuse me of thinking that months after that, you launched some sort of "downvote campaign".
I prefer to not further this conversation as it does not resolve the main matter. However, over time I have come to realise that staying quiet and allowing assumptions and non clarification, can lead to misinformation and misunderstanding for others to know better.
Kind Regards
I think someone considers her posts spam. I wonder why there is no warning.
Aha look what I found all the way back in dec where her interaction with traciyork didn’t go so well
https://hive.blog/someeofficial/@madam-ak/awesme-quick-guide-how-to-link-somee-social-to-hive-1-settings-2-blockchain-676325
I see that. I remember at that time posts and comments weren't ingesting to the SoMee Platform as the feature did not exist, and most SoMeeans have the bad habit of never ever using hive.blog nor somee.blog. The ingesting feature on the SoMee platform unfortunately was added no more than two months ago if even that. So, it may be that she never saw that warning from traciyork. I will definitely make Madam aware of this mistake she made in the past and that the Hive Watchers had warned her about it. Just that SoMee's main platform didn't have the ingesting feature and she never saw those warnings. She has learned how to use Hive very recently, and that is because i have been telling her what she can and can't do not to get on the bad side of the Watchers. Well, the little i currently know i should say.
grey if you go on the post u can c the comments wher she interacted with traciyork and dwnvote tracis posts which pissed her of 👺 I can count madam n her friends dwnvote traci 4 times n try to prove her 😑 wrong
Ok, i see it. I had to reveal it here from Ecency as it wouldn't show otherwise. It was a reply of her's when she was a SoMee admin. The post broke the rules because she claimed it as hers and it wasn't? I haven't reviewed the evidence for whether it was hers or not though. I see it did also get flagged by the watchers. I will tell her about this
@iqraali88, I'm not sure if your comment is saying that I was pissed off that @madam-ak downvoted me (and if she did, I don't recall), but I can assure you that I don't downvote in retaliation.
And I replied to @holovision above with some info I was able to quickly put together, if you and greywarden100 would like more context.
Hi Traciyork. Thanks for participating. So i now understand the root of the problem which dates to last year. When i return from this round I'd like to see and review more context for sure.
