MG Cyber X SUV | The Future?

This is MG's latest concept car - the Cyber X!

Now, I know what you're thinking...concept, concept...this thing may never be seen on the road. Thing is, lots of people said that about MG's last concept car, the Cyberster, and it took them only two years to get it from concept to reality - now that's quite something!

It will be interesting to see what happens with this, as it looks far more premium than MG's on the road today. It's quite telling that they have showcased this concept at the same time and place they unveiled their new MG IM5 and IM6...food for thought, no?

What's with the 'cyber'? Is that still considered futuristic? I'm not so keen on the boxy look.

I'd at least hope they go with EVs. That has to be the future despite the oil industry lobbying all governments. They must be running scared.

You've made a great point there, @steevc My money's on EV. I think SAIC went with Cyber in order to continue the theme they started with the Cyberster...

I was reading that some EVs can get subsidies here, but the Chinese ones may not qualify. Prices have come down anyway. Our next car is almost sure to be electric.
