Sink Day [Week 43]
The hubby drove out of town early in the morning, and I chose not to go with him because it was so cold. Yongi and I stayed under the sheet until we felt hungry around 9 am. It was a good time as the sun peeked through the windows, bringing some warmth into the house. That changed my mood, so after our late breakfast, I slipped into my suit. I'm usually in my pajamas when at home, but when I need to do some dirty work (i.e., cleaning the yard, gardening, and DIYs), I put on my work clothes.
So, what kept me occupied?
My home project. This time, the sink.

We are replacing it.
Since I can do it myself, I got to it and stayed on the job throughout the afternoon. If not for my boy, who complained he was hungry (he was scratching the cabinet door), I wouldn't know it was already dark outside, lol! That's how my projects keep me engrossed.
And so I quickly cleaned the mess, showered, and prepared the easiest meal I could make in the shortest time (Korean luncheon meat, haha), since it was just Yongi and me (the hubby is with my brother, so he is coming home late).
Anyway, it's Saturday once again, and it's time for the usual drill. Not much has changed in the numbers for week 43. Sats balance remained the same as last week (259.2k), as no purchases were made in the past seven days (even when the price of BTC dropped below $110k a couple of times).
Savings increased by 19 HBD (all was added today), ending the week with 2,222. Whoa, what are the odds that it ended at that number!

Meanwhile, my Staked HIVE increased by 146 and is now 29,216 HP — only 784 to go for my ultimate goal for the year to be crossed off. Slow but still growing, so yay!
It's quite hard to believe that we will be welcoming 2026 in approximately 9.5 weeks. It makes me wonder where all the days, weeks, and months have gone. If it were not for a few silver strands showing up on my head, I would still think I'm in my 30s, lol! But yeah, let's grow older gracefully.

Engineer Ifarmgirl lol, thank God you have someone to tell you that is time for lunch you would have not remember anything food till midnight, it does happen to me sometimes, I will just be so busy that I won't even take breakfast, but at least I will be sure that the work is done especially on weekends like this.
Haha, more like a handywoman. When we love what we are doing, time flies by without us noticing, and yes, sometimes we don't even feel hungry.

Once a mother or woman is busy with house chores, she will just forget about food , that's our make.
Haha I always stay in pajamas when at home too🤣
You will show us your project sooner or later
I guess most of us do, haha!
Will see if I'll have the guts to show them :D

That’s the spirit! Our generation looks and identifies as 30 year olds and the ones that DIY keep learning tricks so we stay that way!
I keep waiting on that big wave to sweep me up and make a whole load of progress in a short time. Never seems to happen but those little steps we make in the right direction will surely add up!
It makes me proud that we do, hehe.
Waiting can be tough, so yes, small steps can go a long way over time :)
This sounds like a really nice and peaceful Saturday. Doing home improvements by yourself is not easy, but it feels great when you finish it. It’s wonderful to spend time with your little one and also make progress in life and on HIVE. You are doing a great job.
Thank you. Yes, it was a good day at home. Somehow, doing those improvements keeps me active. If not for them, I would usually be on the couch, lol!
There’s something special about fixing things at home and seeing your progress both in the project and in life.
Thank you. Doing such makes me feel accomplished. Besides, they keep me active (both mind and body).

It's just like when it's cold, we don't feel like getting up early. When the sun comes out, we feel more relaxed during the winter days. It's a good thing that you are managing your portfolio very well with this platform.
Yes, it seems to be common for most. Staying under the sheets is alluring :)
Thank you. I was trying to set a minimum holding, but it's taking a while to get there :)
When you become busy in anything you lose the track of time and I noticed it several times. It's good and bad at the same time.

That's true. The feeling of satisfaction after accomplishing things makes us feel good or even proud, but then there are the bad sides too
