Shopping and rain day. + Día de compras y lluvias. [Eng+Spa]
Today is Wednesday, and I had to leave the house to buy some spare parts at hardware stores. Recently, there was a major problem with the water pipe that supplies the street where we live, and it's better if we fix it instead of reporting it and waiting for the water company to come and fix it.
I also took advantage of the outing to buy some groceries while I got quotes for spare parts at several hardware stores. I returned home with the groceries and then went shopping with my brother at the hardware stores. It turns out the prices for some spare parts were better at two of the hardware stores, so I split the shopping between those two stores.
We already have our things at home. Both the food and the plumbing parts were things we had been waiting for, and it's good to have been able to buy all of that today.
It's pouring with rain now, and I'm afraid I'll be without power for a while. I hope the weather will be a little drier tomorrow, because we have to start working on the street pipes, and we won't be doing it in the rain.

Hoy es miércoles, y me ha tocado salir de casa a hacer compras de algunos repuestos en ferreterías. Hace poco hubo un problema mayor en la tubería de agua que surte a la calle en donde vivimos, y es mejor que nos dediquemos a reparar eso en lugar de reportarlo y esperar a que la empresa de agua venga a repararlo.
Aproveché la salida también para comprar unos víveres mientras pedía presupuesto de los repuestos en varias ferreterías. Regresé a casa con los víveres y luego fui con mi hermano a comprar en las ferreterías. Sucede que los precios de algunos repuestos eran mejores en dos de las ferreterías, así que repartí la compra entre esos dos locales.
Ya tenemos las cosas en casa. Tanto la comida, como los repuestos de plomería eran cosas que teníamos pendiente, y es bueno haber podido comprar todo eso hoy.
Ahora llueve a cántaros y me temo que me quedaré sin servicio eléctrico dentro de un rato. Ya mañana espero que el clima esté un poco más seco, porque tenemos que ponernos a trabajar en la tubería de la calle y no vamos a hacerlo bajo lluvias.
Ya me despido, deseándote que tú estés bien y que nos podamos volver a leer pronto.
