Happy Hive Power Up Day! I just staked my HIVE for the occasion, and it's barely October 1st as of this post according to UTC reckoning, so don't miss this event! I have no grandiose plans for October. September turned all topsy-turvy on me, and I am still picking up the pieces. I know, I know. Vagueposting. But I really don't want to go into details. Burnout is a bitch, and that's all I'll say. I probably have more library D&D tales to tell, I may write another Amateurish Beer Review or two, and I have some drafts and ideas I may flesh out, but my creative energy is at an ebb right now. Feel free to send me HBD to boost my spirits, though!
On a positive note, I crossed the 48,000 HIVE Power threshold in late September, so I have surpassed my goal for 2023, and may manage 50K by New Year's Eve, although that depends a lot on how much I write and curate. If you're new here, let me encourage you to keep creating content. Write the best you can, engage with other creators, support the work of people you want to see succeed, and help build the kind of HIVE you want to offer other new users. I didn't get here without a lot of work and a lot of support from other creators. It took time, and HIVE is literally not the same site as where I began, but we are on the same blockchain and there is opportunity for achieving your goals, whether they are a censorship-resistant archive or speculative cryptocurrency investment. #notfinancialadvice #notanattorney
Well ... here is hoping your October is less stressful. It isn't quite HIVE power up day here, but I have kept a bit aside and will power up after a good sleep tomorrow 45 000 HP. That is a amazing. Cheering you on to your goal. Is 50 000 considered an Orca? Or do we label ourselves like that anymore? I know I was pleased as punch to reach dolphin status.
HPUD follows UTC, not local time. I try to power up the night before per local time so I don't miss the cutoff on the "official" date.
Hi e Power isn't quite the metric for fish size. It's based on the "vests" hidden behind the scenes. HP interest is basically an adjustment for the number of vests each HP is worth as the token pool inflated, so the right number for Orca last year won't quite earn it this year.
