A Weekend Full of Good Beer

On a rainy Monday it’s only fitting to recap a beautiful weekend of warm weather, cold beer and good times for all my beersaturday friends.

We were up north so if you follow me you may know that I have a go to brewery up there. Rare bird brewery is a first in class brewery that focuses on local ingredients and high end bar food. This first beer is Pseudo Sabro which is a Session IPA. The Sabro hops and kviek hornindal yeast give this juicy IPA a fruity twist with notes of pineapple and citrus

After that I grabbed a few tasters. These were Northern Smog a double dry hopped with Idaho 7, sabro and strata. The second was Steal Your Peach a fruited gose. Both beers were refreshing , but I knew I’d be having some more beer when we got home so I stuck with the small taster.

Once we got home it was still beautiful so I figured one more beer on the upper deck would not hurt. It ended up being two more beers on the patio, but who’s counting!

Nowhere Land is hazy and hoppy which is a prefect summer beer. I love how clean and drinkable these are. They are light enough to have a few, but they do not lack flavor like your traditional macro beer.

We had a beautiful evening of drinking and conversation while watching the sun set. I wish we could do this every day since the slow pace is relaxing. It’s hard to find time to just sit and enjoy nature and your partner without distractions.

We were baby sitting three little ones this weekend, so it was anything but lazy for me. In fact, I got Friday off, but @mrsbozz decided she wanted to power wash the deck, so it ended up not being much of a day off either! I'm actually looking forward to next weekend when I might actually get a little bit of time off. We will see if the weather cooperates!

I hear that I spend time with my brother's kids too. Little ones are super fun but a lot of work! I put off some of my house chores which means I'll be doing them over the 4th. Not to mention all the house chores we put off at our actual home which means it will be a busy week so long as the weather cooperates. Looking like storms for a while so at least that's good for the lawn and garden.

Yeah we finally started getting some rain last night. Heading up to the straits this weekend, so I hope that it's all out of here by then. I'd like some pleasant weather. Having one of the kids at a time isn't too bad, but having all three of them at once can be crazy!

Another great park. Are you lucky enough to get a spot on the water? I hear you on the kid front my brother has 4 kids so managing all them is exhausting.

We are actually going to be at Wilderness but no, we didn't get one of the spots on the water. It was pretty full when I booked even though I was right at the six month mark. It's our first time at this park together, so it should be fun.

Wilderness is cool too. If you have time there is a dark park which is amazing!

We should have the time, it's mainly going to depend on if the weather cooperates. Last I checked, it looked like rain all weekend up there :P

Hopefully you get a chance the Headlands Dark Sky Park (an Emmet County park) is worth it on a good night.

I hope so too. I'd love to see the aurora, but I think that is hoping for too much. Likely just have to hope for a clear sky after yesterday. It was pretty nasty over here.

It sounds like you had a fantastic weekend you had, filled with warm weather, cold beer, and great times! It's always a pleasure to indulge in the company of friends and enjoy some quality brews.

Rare Bird Brewery sounds like an incredible place, focusing on local ingredients and serving high-end bar food.

Nowhere Land, with its hazy and hoppy characteristics, seems like an ideal summer beer. The fact that it's both clean and drinkable, while still packed with flavor, makes it a fantastic choice for unwinding and savoring the moment.

It’s hard to find time to just sit and enjoy nature and your partner without distractions.

You need to give yourself time for an activity like this, I know you can't do it daily, but you can do it once a week. It's just a matter of planning the time for the right things.

It's hard when you have so many commitments. It's crazy how wrapped up we can get worn the daily grind.

I did do some fishing but it was from my kayak so it was hard to get photos.
