Quick Stop at Batac Square

We were in Batac on the second day last month, with the thought of visiting the Presidential Museum. Unfortunately, it was still closed for the holidays. So we went to the plaza, parked our vehicles in front of the church, and explored the immediate surroundings.

This is the first shot I took as we strolled in the square. I didn't know then that the city hall and other government offices were just nearby.

We immediately noticed the monument farther across the street, so click!

As we walked our way to the mini park, we passed by the entrance of the Riverside Empanada Complex, known for local delicacies. It was closed, obviously, as it was just the day after the New Year.

And we finally made it across and met the man guarding the park😃

Joke aside, this is a monument of the country's former President, Ferdinand Edralin Marcos. Batac is his birthplace after all.

And so we explored the park a bit further, capturing anything that caught our eyes. Even our shadows couldn't escape, lol!

Anyway, we had a bit of fun on the slides. Oh no, we didn't use the slides ourselves; they were for kids, but we let our little boy experience it with a few rides.

Then it was time to move on to our next itinerary. But before that, we took some more photos while heading to where we parked.

Some snaps of a clean canal as we drove past the back of the museum compound.

The facade of the museum we were supposed to check out.

We went back on the 4th, but my little boy was not permitted inside. Because it was so hot that day, we just stayed in the car while the rest of our family went in.

And this is all for today. We're out for a Thanksgiving party at the husband's auntie's.

Smile... laugh often... love more... be grateful always!

Well, after all that, you couldn't go in. I am very surprised they would not let children in. Isn't that what museums are for? Education. Anyway, at least you were able to spend time with family and enjoy yourself somewhat.

My bad, whenever I say "my little boy," I mean my furball (dog)😊 They allow children :)

Thank you, we had a lovely meal at the Thanksgiving party.

The square is big. They usually hold community events there.

What a beautiful tour of the presidential museum. The surroundings are beautiful, and you took great shots.
I love family outings like this because it's usually more fun as a group, and I would taken one slide 🛝 🙃 😆
