Spring Has Sprung! Cleaning and Planting.

It seems like it has been a long time coming, but it seems as if Spring is finally here! Yesterday was cold and windy. We even had some snow in the evening.

But today the sun is out and the temperatures are rising. It's tempting to start the garden, but it's still too early. We have sprouted seeds in the past, but we find it much more productive (and not unaffordable) to get young plants in late April. They thrive much better than sprouting seeds and work out to be similar in cost, after factoring grow-lights, soil, etc. Also no risk of little ones accidentally destroying them!

We're doing some spring cleaning, but there's still a long way to go. My little daughter helped by washing a wall. She was rewarded with a trip to the dollar (25) store.

It's an odd time, as I'm waiting on the State of Michigan for a license to progress on to sales training. Hopefully soon!

State licensing can take forever at times…..
Washington state is one of the worst, with the Mrs being a licensed optician.
She had to drive hundreds of miles to Seattle to take her test years ago! 🙄

It's taking forever! Applied March 14th, I called yesterday and they're reviewing applications from March 4th. They haven't even looked at it yet! !BBH

Thankfully the test is over with and it wasn't too far away, but it's amazing what States will demand of people just for the "privilege" of certain professions.

I can understand this from a license, professional standpoint……
Unfortunately, I think a lot of states it’s all about the money…….
Here in Washington they tax, and license almost everything Lol🙄😇

Ugh. Michigan wants so badly to like California, Oregon and Washington.

It was demonstrated clearly with MIOSHA during covid, they were on a mission to fine every business that did not cease operations during the "lockdown" and enforce all the stuff: masks, vaccine cards, social distancing, etc. This is MIOSHA! They were still attempting to enforce COVID mandates as late as February 2025.

In climates like Michigan, it is definitely a good idea to start later. Late frosts can be quite a bugger. I'm happy to see spring springing so nicely there. Savor every bit of it, Benjamin! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Hey I have prayed just once in the mosque close to my home this month of Ramadan. Seeing your post reminds me how poor of a father in terms of religion I am. But my son went to the Friday prayers. I think you are a role model as a good Christian for your children.
I am slowly analyzing your blog posts and am formulating the notion that somehow you are quite a responsible human being who is somehow capable of influencing your children into the right direction not only in this realm but in the realm hereafter.
If yahweh comes to you and tells you to worship him I might say that you might say no to him I might be wrong. But who knows. I am a failure and a sinner and will burn in hell all time ever.

Thank you for your comment. I confess to you that I also am a sinner, and standing before the Most High on my own merit alone, I would be condemned - it is only by the favor of Yeshua do I have any hope of salvation and it's is through Him I am able have a small glimpse of the character of the Most High God YHVH. It's my duty as a father to not only bear the fruit of repentance and develop Godly behaviors, but most importantly to teach these principles to my children. You also have been given a new day and new opportunities to seek the will of the Most High and turn towards Him, doing what is right and just and He will be gracious to you so you may teach your own children, as promised to our father Abraham:

Abraham will surely become a great and powerful nation, and through him all the nations of the earth will be blessed. For I have chosen him, so that he will teach his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing what is right and just, in order that the LORD may bring upon Abraham what He has promised.
