A Late Afternoon Stroll in the Park (i)

(Edited)

After the wedding ceremony some time ago, we took another road for a quick detour in Mt. Camisong, an eco park in the mountainside of Itogon. It was an unplanned adventure, and being first-timers in the place, we did not know what to expect. My niece Kits did warn me that pets are not permitted, so our Yongi had to stay in the car.

True enough, when I went out of the car with my LilGuy, one of the attendants immediately told me to keep him in. We were just in the parking lot and yet to buy our tickets, so I thought my baby could smell some fresh mountain air for a few minutes. Well, rules are rules.

Anyways, this is the view from where we parked. The structure in the distance is the ticket center and entry point.

After my niece bought us tickets (each worth about $10), we went to the gates and down the concrete path leading us to new sights and experiences - the glass walkway (view deck) being one of them.

As expected, we met people coming and going. Most looked delighted, not a sweat on their foreheads, as they walked past us as we approached the deck.

I stayed away from the glass while the others and my companions were excited to step on it like it was just another normal walkway.

My sister teased me for a while and, taking my arm, led me to it, telling me to look around and not down. "Oh, see? It's easy!" She was proud of me. But then a joker came and started jumping on the deck as if testing its strength. I felt the shake, which had me plead, "Don't do that, please!" He was taken aback, then smiled sheepishly, raising his hand apologetically.

But yeah, I was proud to say I stood on that glass, crushing my fear for a few minutes (LOL!) And I was envious of that lil kid!

We left the deck after 15 minutes or so, snapping some pictures as we walked away from it.

We reached the temporary stalls where souvenirs and snacks are sold. Some spaces are under development. We were told that phase 2 of the project is underway, and there will be more.

We proceeded further and reached what we later found out to be the amphitheater.

A closer look at the spacious area. A few people were seen enjoying their own time and photoshoots.

Here's a view of the artificial waterfalls and some trails.

From there, we strolled further down, feasting on more lovely, greener views.

The sky foot bridge (not sure if it's called such) looked sexy from below.

The garden and landscaping were quite nice. I love how they preserved most of the trees, making the place more inviting.

There is more to see and cover, but I have already shared too many pictures, so a second part is needed. Thank you for coming along, and until next time :)

It's a beautiful park but that no pet rule, seriously? It's a park! Why in Philippines seems so much no pets ideology? I don't get it, here they do shopping carts for pets

Haha, yeah. I wish places here were more friendly to our furry ones.

The glass deck is short but scary to those who fear heights. Thank you, and a lovely day to you too.

So much beautiful greenery in the garden, the place generally looks very welcoming. I probably would have hesitated a bit before stepping on the glass bridge, what if it cracks lol.

Yes, it's a nice place, and if we were not driving home, we would have spent more time there.

I had the same feeling on seeing the glass deck, but it didn't break hehe
